  • I like how their neck straps are bandannas. Nice cover up.

  • You guys are great! Like the fat sound of the older bass better myself. Played a few in the past so I know they can get heavy and the pitch can be "iffy". Newer horn is doesn't fill the ensemble as much but you sound great either way, would love to here you guys do a jazz/legit recording!

  • @jbw532 do you know their names? or even better, their emails? cuz I would DIE for this sheet music, and I wanna ask them xP

  • My new dream job.

  • You guys are sure good. But, I'd never take my horn out in the rain.

  • HEY! I WENT TO DISNEY A FEW WEEKS AGO! THEY WEREN'T THERE!!! THIS WOULD HAVE GIVEN TO SO MUCH MORE INSPRIRATION TO PLAY THAN I ALREADY HAVE! NO FAIR!!!

  • Hey, no fair using bass in a quartet! Do I have to call the sax police on you? ;)

    But seriously...beautiful.

No fair Randy Newman, tho, ripping off the first four of "Rockin' Chair."

  • man, where were these guys last week????

  • The bass sax makes a very nice bassline.

  • woody allen movie.

  • @MoisheKapoyr EPIC FAIL!!!

  • Holy crap! There amazing!!! :o

  • @momo4895 they’re*

  • @Limpfittz I really hate it when people correct me.... but thank you for correcting me (I was being sarcastic by the way)

  • I LOVE this song so much! I'm still searching for the music for it. I play alto sax, and hearing this makes me so happy!

  • @koolkat104 did u find it in the end?

  • @charliechanga654 No, sadly.

  • OMGLOVELOVELOVE! just missing andy martin on trombone <3

  • I LOVE IT

  • These guys are one of my favorite quartets! I love the blend!

  • i love this

  • Doug Spoonamore (tenor sax) says they are quite well compensated for there work. He gave up cruise ships to play at Mouse World.

  • @trumpetwasher Hope I can land a gig like that some day!

  • i wonder how fun it must be playing your sax at Disneyworld!!!

  • I can't believe the bass sax player is the smallest size among these guys. He must work out alot....LOL

  • these guy's are great. Wow.

  • lolz thats from monsters inc

  • Sweet

  • ok, how can i apply for this job?!?!?!!?

  • this makes we want to go to disney alittle bit more i'' still never go but now i want to got just a little bit more. If i did go i would just go to hang with these guys all day. LOL

  • @linaodena Why? I think he sounds pretty good, nice dark smokey tone. You looking for a bright brassy tone I guess?

  • I agree carl, he has a wonderful tone

  • Yeah I was about to ask the same, he sounds really nice.

  • @linaodena The tenor has a lovely tone, and in fact it is in the same pitch as the soprano.

  • I play Disenys's Toontown Online. If u don't have speed chat plus then the game get relly boreing

  • just to clear up any confusion farthest right is a curved saprano next is alto the next is a tenor and to the farthest left is bass. yes there is no baritone sax in this and if ur gonna let a 13 year old outsmart u guys at this sax stuff that is pathetic

  • *moans* man i wish i could've met these guys, they sound awesome XDD

  • i'm digging the music and the clothes. i'm a train buff as well as a musician.

  • i bet they're the only one's that work there paid more than minimum wage :P

  • Comment removed

  • @drumstyx6464 sadly they really don't get paid much. otherwise i'd go on down to florida and play bari with these guys.

  • that´s good

  • thats a bass sax smart one. i met these guys and they r awesome! especially the bass guy.

  • Baritone sax sounds sweet. These guy's are talented. I play alto sax. I didn't even know there was such thing as a curved soprano. I thought they were all straight like a claranet

  • Nice!!!!!!!!!! it's really nice to hear the bass sax.

  • man, i really need sheets for my alto

  • i feel sorry for the guy playing the contrabass: HEAVY!

  • its just a bass sax. not contrabass

the bass isnt much heavier than the bari,

  • yeah there are only like 7 contra bass made just bass and yeah i play bari, his nectstrap is 30 dollars actually shoulder strap i have one there super nice u can carry it around everday

  • actually, there are that few SUBcontrabasses (perhaps even less) contrabass saxes are used in many pit bands for musicals, very uncommon to say the least, but certainly production models exist

  • @buda4u they aren't actually saxophone's unfortunately, they do tend to sound a little bit like a sarrusophone. nonetheless, they're really interesting instruments!

  • i love this song!!! I especially like the bass line. Where could i get this music?

  • Idk the brand on the bass, but I want one.

  • Curved Orsi sopranino? Or is it a curved sop and my eyes just wrong?

  • its a curved soprano i think

  • yeah, curved soprano, a curved sopranino would be like... teeny tiny... lol

  • They exist.

  • must be a curved soprano, a sopranino would leave a huge gap between the alto and it

  • Great work Guy's. What brand is that bass sax ? It dosen't look like my Buescher ; Conn maybe ?

  • I know this song! It's from Monsters INC.! It's a Disney movie. lol

  • Ee :]

Me and my friend did a duet of this on tenor sax n trumpet :D

    this is amazing ^^

  • GREAT!!!

  • Bass makes a nice low line in a quartet. i liikkkee

  • i agree. its much nicer of a bassline than bari. especially with those slap tongues XD

  • The bass sax doesn't come in two sizes but two different style raps, of the top of the horn. Shorter raps are Benedikt Eppelsheim and Selmer, Longer rap are the Conn, Buescher, Keilwerth and Taiwan bass saxes. There were other American made horns at one time but all had longer raps.

I have a Conn and personally find the longer rap centers the horn more comfortably than the Selmer shorter rap. Horns are the same size basically.

  • i dont really know about saxaphones (even though i used to play 1) but i do know that sounds AWESOME!!!! :D

  • if it would rained they would have been screwed cuz the pads would fall off

  • im in the marching band and have played in the rain before. they didn't get damaged at all. dontcha think that pads would fall off from spit aswell as they would water?

  • i dont know i would think so but i play tenor but mine never fall off so idk

  • Water definitely isn't good for your pads because it makes them expand and fall apart. They're made out of leather; you can imagine what would happen if you left water on a leather couch for hours at a time.

  • how come they don't have the bari sax in there? they to in disney land

  • Because the bass sax is awesome.

  • Yes but the others has both a bari and a bass

  • thats amazing..im so gonna join when im older

  • the tenor has a split bell. anyone know what model tenor?

  • most likely a conn chu new wonder series, some of the most wonderful conns ever made ;), (pun intended!)

  • hot pixar music

  • There is not a bari.

  • Awsome!! GO bari!

  • man i love how they use the bass sax...

  • Don't worry about tooning Mr. Bass man - nobody can tell if you're flat down there!

    Great quartet!

  • cool....like the monster ink theme

  • love this song

  • Hey everybody! I saw these guys August 7, 2007. It was probably my favorite moment of the visit to the Magic Kingdom--been there more than five times. My eight year old daughter heard me listening to this video and told me this is the theme to Monsters Inc. (Another prodigy in the family.) I've got some good video which I'll try to post for all you fans. The bass saxophone has been recently replated and it's beautiful. Great band. Friendly players.

  • These guys are freAKING awesome

  • Great, we need more BASS SAXOPHONE recordings! Vince Giordano, Bert Brandsma, Andreas van Zoelen, James Carter...... More bass sax!

  • wow they can really make those things sing eh?

  • I cant believe that guy said it sounded recorded, thats a cool soprano, I play bari and alto mostly but I've played tenor and soprano as well, it'd be cool to play a bass or even a Contra Bass,or Tubax Contrabass.

  • where can i get a midi or sheet music for that? That would be awesome to try to play.

  • Rockin' Chair?

  • I must be getting old. I can't recall the name of this song!!!! Duhhhh!

  • reaaaaally great...

  • the guy on the far right is playing on a soprano sax and its not a recording, the video is just a little ahead of the sound

  • THIS IS AWSOME. That is one AWSOME BARI, and i thought ours was old and big. haha.

  • Lol I don't see a bari. That is a bass...

    AND I WANT IT!

  • No, that definitely is a bass.

Look at the crook on that thing, a bari's crook is nowhere NEAR that large.

  • Sorry my bad i was thinking of the contra bass sax

  • That's right. Most people don't even know they exist.

There are 2 Bass Sax sizes. One is almost like a Bari Sax.

  • This music is SWEET!!! But, the sound is badly out of sync. Cool video anyways. I can really appreciate this music because I am a sax player myself. Baritone mainly.

  • what type of saxophone is the guy on the far right using? also it sounds recorded. i dont buy it

  • that is a bass sax. and the reason it sounds "recorded" these guys are professionals and they just sound that great.

  • actually sorry, far left is bass sax, far right is a curved soprano

  • AWESOME! I have been looking for this song ALL over the place! Thanx SO much for posting!

  • Hey! That's the Monster's Inc. opening. SWEET!

  • music to my ears

  • sweet!!!
