As a devotee of Corrie,(it is actually 3 months younger than me),this 'spoof' has all the hallmarks of exactly how Corrie was.Right up to the present day, there are strong,no-nonsense female residents on the Street, but the creme de la creme were those such as Elsie Tanner,Annie Walker,Ena Sharples,Bet Lynch,Vera Duckworth.Blanche Hunt, now sadly no longer with us,was the last true formidable matriarch. If tha don't like Corrie, tha's nowt to live for,I say, there's nowt to live for!
this is how my grandma used to talk, saying the full name when speaking to somebody, brilliant. she used call me names like Cloth ears if i did,nt hear what she said or rag legs if i did,nt get up and do what she told me right away, you don,t, hear names like that now, happy days eh.
I saw this skit years ago and then searched everywhere to watch again. It is brilliant, especially if you revere Coro Street. Showed all my pommie ex-pat friends who agree.
