Ok, I usually don't post but I have to...I am in the U.S. Army and I can say that if congress would step up to the plate and fund the military properly and in a more timely manner, Iraq and Afganistan would be a lot different now. A month after 9-11 the war in AFGANISTAN was going remarkably well...so he's not lying...We can't find Bin Laden because he's in Pakistan Mountains and the dems wont let us go in....

I don't agree with the war (but of course have HUGE respect an admiration for the troops), and I don't like big business getting away with what they have over the past few years. Like I said, I walk both lines. I just think that for this time in history, a democrat is the right choice. Ok, I usually don't post but I have to...I am in the U.S. Army and I can say that if congress would step up to the plate and fund the military properly and in a more timely manner, Iraq and Afganistan would be a lot different now. Not entirely accurate. Even the F.B.I admitted they didn't have any direct evidence linking Ivins to the Anthrax. Example from the Washington post:
"The FBI has had a difficult time making its case to a skeptical public and scientific community. A hair sample snagged from a Princeton, N.J., mailbox linked to the attacks turned out not to match that of Ivins."

What about the dozens of other times presidents and other figureheads sent troops to die? Look at history, it just happens. If you join the military your committed to serve the country no matter what the cost. I lost two good friends, one of them family to the Iraq War and the families are proud of their service to this country. I won't vote for Obama because of his over the top radical politics, geez! There will always be mistakes and neither McCain or Obama are immune to that.

Yes I know Presidents send out the military for operations, but it is usually for a decent cause. Iraq was a waste. Plain and simple. It was pointless and was not justified, even O' Reilly said history will probably show it was the wrong battlefield. That was my point.

Obama fails to practice sound moral hygiene. He does have ties to William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn when he appeared on panels with Ayers, served on a foundation board with him and held a 1995 campaign event at the home of Ayers. Ayers even gave money to one of his campaigns. If McCain had done this, the entire media would be up in arms running around whooping and hollering like lunatics.
Obama had an admitted relationship (8 years) with Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Communist Party.

I wouldn't be surprised if McCain has certain ties. See, I avoid having these dicussions because I feel a certain way and you feel a certain way. I'm not pro-choice, I'm pro-military, I want lower taxes and LESS government, neither candidate with do that though. They both suck in my opinion. We should have like an American Idol style vote but with more contestants. And no, Ron Paul is not anything special either. Look, I've got to go to work, but thanks for the dialogue.

At no point was this a matter of contention - there never was a need to drag the country into this futile 'Phase Two' and stretch America's resources. It isn't that McCain is positive about the effort in Afghanistan (as he should be), it's that he's sowing the seeds for the travesty of Iraq before the job in Afghanistan was even completed.
