i was at art school around the time this was out-everyone loved this. to be honest all their singles between 'Land of make believe' & 'rules of' the game' were extraordinary at the time-the production sounded so modern-and all the weird effects on the vocals-amazing.
@funkybird4 It was filmed at Holloway Sanitorium. I'll have to check the credits on my Greatest Hits video, but a lot of their very visual ones were directed by D. Trattman, so I'd hazard a guess they were behind this one too. When I get a minute, I'll check for you. When it was reviewed on Saturday Superstore, Mike Read commented it must have taken them longer to make the video than to record the song lol! Shame it only made no 34, love the extended version.
It was "one of those nights". Still it is my fave BF single along with My Camera Never Lies. The offbeat was deliberate and a genius touch if you ask me. Way ahead of their time. Maybe that's what the public couldn't get.
Origonal members numbered four not five. Shelley only replaced Jay.
Back then I used to think Mike was so hot, but of course I knew he'd never look at an ordinary-looking guy like me. Still, I moved to London anyway...
What I want to know is... WTF is that strange cackling in the background about 6 seconds into the song?
It's not just part of the video, it's on the original song as well, and it's too distinct to have been left there by accident. I don't get it at all :-/
I hated this when it came out, but now I listen to hear it, and it kinda makes me think it may have had an influence on Dieter Bohlen...or is it just me?
Thats just what i was thinking EuroAlien! Maybe there should be a campaign set up to make this possible - with all five original members on stage singing it!!

It's true, I make around $15 a day with AdSense from my blogs... It's easier to use the technique I found at ez-casino(dot)com, though...

Mike Nlan looks so hot in this video, as a young person i had a crush on him and quite fancied him.

A lot of Bucks Fizz's music was pretty funky actually. This has a really energetic feel to it.

It is my favourite song of theirs! It only peaked at 34 back in October 1983. What a shame! Great song!
