Saying that Rock music is "the devil's" is like saying all modern ways of preaching is "the devil's". Again, it's the message that matters, not the way it is presented. This, flyleaf, Skillet...I like skillet, but the message gets lost in lyrics like "I feel like a monster". And devil's music is, well, metal, aggressive and raging, with hateful lyrics, bone-crunching guitar riffs etc.
@micius I understand where your coming from, and yes I understand how music with swearing, vulgarity,discrimination, etc. can be classified as "Devil" music, but honestly I don't think genre has anything to do with it. Alot of people can relate more to Skillet and other bands like them than they can to other christian music. If someone is truly anointed, they would want to encourage the people to discern what is true and what is not. They would encourage people to pursue truth no matter where it would lead. The Bible tells us the whole body of Christ, (who are abiding & obeying), are anointed, not just some certain people in the body...

The whole body of Christ, (those born-again, obeying God & living holy set apart lives), are anointed. When someone insists for people not to say anything when they see something wrong, it is THEY that are coming against the anointed.

@iamapeanut207 Well.. the message of Christianity is one of forgiveness, peace and compassion, so I would expext something calm and soft from christian bands. This, flyleaf, Skillet...I like skillet, but the message gets lost in lyrics like "I feel like a monster". And devil's music is, well, metal, aggressive and raging, with hateful lyrics, bone-crunching guitar riffs etc.

@micius I understand where your coming from, and yes I understand how music with swearing, vulgarity,discrimination, etc. can be classified as "Devil" music, but honestly I don't think genre has anything to do with it. Alot of people can relate more to Skillet and other bands like them than they can to other christian music. Rock music gets me pumped, and I like to workout to it, so it's nice to have Christian rock rather than other secular rock. :)
