Check out Pies player in 1:02, he is wearing a jumper with the white stripe in the middle instead of the black one, like the rest of his team mates. Between the 30s and until 2000 Collingwood wore the jumper with the black stripe in the middle, so why was he wearing that jumper in 1988? Similar thing in '93 when Jeff Hogg for the Tigers wore black shorts while the other Tigers wore white in an away match against the Bears. AFL would be fining like crazy if that went on today.

Ever notice that before Carlton updated the monogram on their jumper in 1998, Craig Bradley's monogram was always bigger than his team mates.

About six or seven years ago some players (eg Tarrant) started wearing cut off socks too. That did not go down well with the AFL.
