i wander if that groove going down the piston was for expansion? maybe the engine designer made it like that so there would be less strain on the piston? have you done any more on this engine? if you mentioned it in your videos i didn't pay attention haha
It is out of a small Engilsh car, known as a Morris Minor. It was probably built sometime in the 60s. It is a 4 clyinder inline engine. They are much more common over in Europe than in the US.
