Got to say - this is not Metallica. Unless they have become suddenly very very VERY synth dependent. There appears to be a good deal of production values that are missing too. My best guess is someone mucking about themselves, and sticking Metallica's name to it as a joke.

Having said that, its good enough rendition if done by somebody individually, or a garage group. Not Metallica though. Better re-branded as Rock Imperial Theme and be done with it.

This is no Metallica, because the way the guitars sound like is much to deep...In any song of Metallica the guitars have such a bass like this song. And you can also hear that the way the drums is played isn´t the drumming-Style of Lars...there are too few cymbals and snare-hits and Lars often plays the cymbals together with the snare on 1 or 3

My vote still goes to not being Metallica. When bands do covers, they still sound like themselves. This sounds nothing like Metallica. The guitar tone is all wrong. Also, the keyboard or synthesizer lead me further to believe that it isn't Metallica.

To be honest, this doesn't sound much like Metallica at all. Granted; the composition is not their own, but generally bands tweak their covers to fully suit their genre and playing style, Ulrich's drums don't sound nearly as driving as they could, and there's hardly any striking electric guitar in it, as compared to, say, For Whom The Bell Tolls. Listen to the two and compare.
