I paid off my student loans. The only thing left is my car and $2000 in old collections debt. I should be done within the year. I haven't followed Dave's plan to the T, but I did for about 3 months. It was eye-opening, and I soaked it all up. I highly recommend his program to anyone.
I will someday kick Sally Mae out. But for now i'm 18 and need to go to college. My brother's 26, and he's paying off debt right now, mortgage, college loans. I live with him.
Taking out student loans was the worst decision I've made in my life. It guarantees that you will have to make X dollars, regardless of circumstance or desire, to survive, and pay back that debt. It effectively turns you into a slave.
