With long hair you wont get the same look nor will the little feathers that you will get will last. Yes your hair should be cut in some layers to achieve this look. If your hair is all one length you will not be able to achieve this look.

lol -naw you're good. If you are talking about what type of flat iron-Its a linea pro, the best of the best and as a heat protectant for the hair, I use kimbles silk treatment leave-in. Its an awesome heat protectant.
