the GM sniper II is the strongest GM variant of the one year war era. In the hands of ace pilots those suits are killer, it's just stupid that they got shot down so easily in 0080

The GM Sniper II's are indeed great, with higher specs than the RX-78. The problem was they were snipers trying to fight in mid-range with an assault suit.

@RouzekiTadayoi actually GM sniper II fare pretty well in mid-range combat, that's why the 90mm machine gun is part of their standard equipment.

the "stupid" thing I was talking about was that the GM sniper II's didn't even try to avoid those rockets >_>. It's almost as if fresh recruit were piloting them....

@ltshiro Inexperience does not mean she was weak or untallented. Amuro was better with skill but didn't have much tallent... where as char was talented and skillful because he was talented however his experience didn't grow him much.

it is said that training produces a better product vs someone who goes based on their talent. Chris was not weak she was a green pilot and if she was not talented she would have DIED.

The Alex was made specially for Amuro to utilize his newtype abilities, so the pilot could not utilize it correctly. Bernie died preventing the Alex gundam from being completed and delivered, which was enough I suppose. Don't forget Bernie was an Ace Pilot. That made all the difference. Heres my question- did Chris Die? The pilot in a MS is usually in the chest, not the head. Bernie cut off the head, Alex thrust her saber through Bernies cockpit. Did they both kill each other?
