Wow !! He is back!! I remember the great rivalry between Yagudin and Plushenko in Sait Lake City and Yagudin won the gold . I was there to witness!! Plushenko won the gold in Torino and he is looking for one in Vancouver again . Amasing !!
But I'm a big fan of Japanese skaters and I'd like to see them on the podium too.
Thanks for posting this video! He looks damn good for someone who hasn't competed in so long and I'm happy he is back. Overall I like what I see, but I'm a little concerned about his jumps being the first 3 elements. He might need to reconsider the placement so that his program isn't so toploaded.
I'm amazed he got back his quad-triple combination jump so quickly; very few of the top men even attempt the quad-triple in the short. I'm excited to see how he'll stack up against the top men in Gran Prix competition.
Good to see him back, and I really like him... But he will face some tough competition at the Olympics. Sure, his jumps are good, but he seems VERY SLOW, and the steps, choreography and in-betweens are unexpectedly simple. Chan, Takahashi, Oda, Lysacek, etc. will most likely show up w/ much faster and more intricate/ captivating programs.
- circular step sequence is too slow, not moving on the musics rhythym.
- the Schmetterling flying jump in is bad, and the position changing sitting spin is just 2nd level as I see, but I don't know how many he got for this.
-the last sping is wandering, not concentrated for one point
Plushenko is stooping, doesn't think much of the music, concentrates on technical difficulties. I guess the technique's almost perfect if not to take sits into account, but the component scores no more than 7.50 could be fair.
But it's just the start of the season... We'll see :)
He has to have amazing strength to pull off the second jump of his combo, since he landed so far forward. His sit looks lower, but why did he do three of them? I thought the new revisions didn't allow you to repeat a move so many times.
Anyway, I love this guy. He's a world and olympic champion who is doing little club competitions, which makes him look pretty serious about his comeback.
When somebody leaves such messages calling Olympic champion "guy" and saying he needs smth (with grammar mistakes, by the way), it can only mean, he is a real looser.
"looser?" did you mean "loser?" or "smth?" or "the" olympic champion-- (needs a definite article)? you obviously can't keep up with your own demanding standards GUY. i won't even start on your commas.
furthermore, the fact that he is olympic champion does not mean i'm going to treat him in a manner differently from anyone "normal" that i would meet. everyone is equal in my book.

Great 4-3 and 3A, nothing else to watch. Solid but totally boring IMO.

But thank you for uploading so fast!

Icering in Perm is really problematic. Plu and others hardly skated at all, nobody was seriously injured.
Plu'd better have some life and make kids. He's already old and fat and heavy beyond even Pro standards. And his legs are fragile.

Надеюсь тем не менее на корректировку программы и исполнения! Интересно, в какой форме Ламбьель? Кто-нибудь видел его последние выступления?
Reggina31 2 years ago
Ламбьель в хорошей форме. Трикселя нет, зато четверной есть.
KNevskaya 2 years ago

I think it wasn't 97 points, because:
- circular step sequence is too slow, not moving on the musics rhythym.
- the Schmetterling flying jump in is bad, and the position changing sitting spin is just 2nd level as I see, but I don't know how many he got for this.
-the last sping is wandering, not concentrated for one point
- too much not needed arm work

Not impressed at all. This program definitely didn't deserve the 97+ points it received.
