It took much practice to be able to beat this with fewer lives, but overall, I played it until I was able to upgrade to 18 lives and then I beat the game. I was also able to unlock everything except one thing cos I still can't beat Lush Look Killer without dying. I get so close, but as soon as the many eyes pop up for the second time, I just can't seem to pull it off lol Maybe one day :D
....but sort through them and you will have the soundtrack. Somewhere in there is the song for old soccer level we now know as Lush Look Killer. Sounds similar but different in its own way. I really love this game as well as the others Jonathan Mak has created. Major props to him! I love the idea of art games. I'm an artist in many ways, and looking at gaming as an art form is a new innovative way to create games. Most art games have replay value that mainstream ones do not.....
@ja0401 well... can you tell me what does it mean? b/c is really heavy simbolism, is not just alot of random stuff put together, for me it looks like it has a meaning. is like the every day life of a teen age or high schooler... you know what i'm talking about? you are not a ship you are a square so i saw the squere as a chracter as a human character and i got stuck in level 3 for a long time, months, and i felt like wheni was in high school and everyone was looking at me and attacking me... ?
@MsBickle76 I totally agree with you that there is more meaning. However, I don't know exactly what was on his mind when he created this wondrous game. I was mainly talking about how to find the soundtrack as well as what I've read in his blog about the game's interesting mechanics and artistry. I had a project a couple years back I didn't finish where I was taking all the songs and adding percussion, bass, and keys to them. I lost a lot of my equipment so it was postponed.
@ja0401 ohh! haha that sound cool! but you know what i'm talking about right in the 3rd level Lush Look Killer there is a big eye and little eyes and as soon as they see you they start attacking you, and then the game is called Everyday Shotter and it's like the everyday life of a person, like each song is a day, in the life of a human being. i don't know much tough, i have had the game for 6 months now and i cant get pass level 6 and i got the upgrade for 6 lives already. this game is hard :(
I can answer everyone's questions about this game. I've done a whole lot of research on the game and it's mechanics as well as how to get the music from the game in form of a soundtrack. Firstly, for questions on how to beat the game got to Gamefaqs and look at the forums. I have posted a "Chain walkthrough" to help those out that couldn't figure the game out at all. Secondly, about the music, get the PC version and look through the files. They are all in ogg,.....
hmmm... not sure if the music will be released - let me ask him - the thing is, that the music in the game is affected by game play - so when you shoot, it plays a note or riff, and when things explode, that plays music too, so the only thing he could put out there is just the background music.
the game is eventually going to find its way onto the PC!
yeah i figured as much about the music so maybe jon mak should play the game and use whatever notes he happens to make. i know i'd be happy with that.
and i cannot wait for PC everyday shooter!! ps3 is my brother's and i'm studying abroad so i haven't had my daily dose of everyday shooter. and all the silly boys here own ps2s not 3.
it shouldn't be that much of a problem, Lumines has got some "remix" albums with "backgorund" music + carefully inserted "sound effects" creating nice music...

Yeah, if the guy ever saw fit to release an album of the game music I'd certainly buy it.

He's just shy. And a hardcore geek... But mostly shy.
Doesn't matter though. His game rocks.
