The TTC wouldnt have the GM buses in its fleet today if it wasn't for former Chief General Manager David L Gunn. It was him who wanted the GMs rebuilt to last another 20 years
@BlGGlE Probably turning signal that driver who nearly fell asleep that he/ she had to leave it on to keep them awake or forgot to turn it off LOL. But I love that sound it too.
and why do we still have 70's styles buses still in revenue service, I kno canada's capitol funding isnt as big as the US but they already have a ton of new buses already, how come these arent retired, their ova 30-40 years old right? Lol i wish the US was like Canada sometimes, I miss just riding buses from the 80's some times.
They believe in longevity. I believe that if Charlotte Transit would not have bought new sardine packs, the transit system would not be in the hole about $10 million.
@vze428s7 I wish I live in Toronto riding these good old buses, New buses in US like Gillig Advantages and NABIs are soooo boring and Junk. These 70s fishbowls are BETTER quality buses.
@vze428s7 United States is just Spoiled brats, why the US Government are now in DEBT and their Economy is down the drain? Well, that's what Transit Agencies in USA gets for retiring their buses such of early age like 10 years.
??????? since when do old bus models have automated stop systems, like the new ones thats like septa's 1989 neoplan an440 anouncing stop and displaying them. lol but i guess only in canada because ive never scene that in the united states.
@vze428s7 It's cool that I love seeing Old like best buses like these gets treated the same as New Buses (Low quality) gets treated. That's Canada's way.
The Scarborough RT is an overground subway line that operates South/West and North/East from Kennedy TTC subway station to McCowan TTC subway station.

Does this mean that the RT is short of trains during rush hour?
