  • I uploaded a video on my Channel if you would watch and tell me what to do i

can't get that washer out of the bottom it looks to big to come out the bottom

  • HEY NEED HELP NOW!! How do you get the Seal out i got the lock ring out but

it's like a metal like washer? or metal seal? anyway how do you get it out i tried filling

half full and turned wheels nothing happen.

  • @Shyhighable keep in mind you need to have the engine running, the front wheel need to be off the ground and you need to turn the wheel quickly.

  • @Shyhighable if that doesnt work then you can try a magnet or drill it and use a small piese of wire to work it out

  • Right on It came off nice and smooth,

  • how did you get the pittman arm back on? with a hammer

  • @SouthernHoneyChild23 It has a bit of a taper so it should slid on easily untill the last 1/4 to 1/2 an inch. tap it with a happer if needed but dont hit it to hard. if it sticks use a piece of pipe or a socket that fits over the shaft. once its on far enough just use the nut to pull it on the rest of the way.

  • What was the seal Called Pit arm seal? Power Steering Seal? thanks

  • @SouthernHoneyChild23 Ask for a "Pitman arm seal kit". I would also suggest getting a repair manual so you can show they guy behind the counter what you're looking for, just in case.

  • ya Going to replace seal thanks.

  • I Have a 94 Ford Ranger V6 4.0 3.27 8.8 rear end.My Seal Went Out Today

Wondering what you used to but the seal back in??Anyone Thanks

    David& Ruby

  • @SouthernHoneyChild23 I'll assume you mean the power steering seal. I wouldnt reuse the old seal unless you have no other choice and if you do put a heavy grease on it to prevent leaking temporarily (there is a ton of pressure behind it, it will leak). If you're talking about puttting in a new one, there's no trick to it, just press it in by hand or a screwdriver(carefully).

  • thanks i am about to do this to mine and this helped me out

  • I hope you did great on your project! I found out today that mine is leaking! I will learn from you and others!

  • what a jack wagon ROFL

  • @sandmann3030 its a 93 with 225k km what do you expect? it still runs great and it does what i need it to do

  • would you know how to adjust a powersteering gear box for a 79 f150

  • @eltigrepeleador depends on what you mean by adjust, there really isnt alot you can do to them. please send me a personal messgae with a but more detail and i'll help as best i can

  • if anyone is doing this for the first time and has questions feel free to ask. i'll help as best i can

  • @hanz5599 could i leave all the other drag links attached and still remove the pitman? and what part did you heat with your torch?

  • @124trg only remove the single bolt attaching the draglinks to the arm. you dont need to remove anything else. when you take that bolt off you will most likely need the torch cause its a tapered bolt and it will stick. the gear box side may come off with a pitman arm puller, if not torque the puller as much as you can then heat the end of the arm on the oposite side of the bolt. concentrate in one spot for a few minutes if it doesnt let go move a couple inches and try again

  • @124trg i realize that isnt a great explination and if you dont get it let me know. i will make a new video showing step by step what to do

  • great work now I can do this on my truck!
