Babies falling asleep is a very good thing, especially the very young ones (one of my co-workers recently had a young girl & he's been looking a little worn out lately). :-)

You had a great 3rd grade teacher! Classical music helps one to focus and relax; even when the piece is dramatic it still doesn't get one agitated in the same way some rock music can.

It's kind of sad that when we get older (and have to work for a living & all that) that we must often put aside things we enjoyed doing simply because we don't have the time. I have a 9 - 5 (non-musical) job & I still try to put in several hours' practice a day. This means I have to sacrifice a lot of other things (TV, movies, going out), but music is what is important to me. :-)

While I'm an acoustic instrument sort of guy myself (over 100 instruments in my house and not one electronic!), keyboards these days offer an amazing selection of sounds, and many have good touch sensitivity. This is simply beautiful. So much soul and heart. "Anyone" can play, but some can intimate the deep meaning of the music to others. This has nothing to do with technical skills (which you have!), but with personality and wisdom.

Very interesting and nice rendition of Bethena Waltz by Joplin. I only have heard more rapid versions, such as by Rifkin. I just noticed that YOU are the pianist, and I suspect a concert one, as well. Frankly, I think you should make a CD of this. In fact, I think you belong in a concert hall. For the Joplin piece, I wouldn't mind getting the CD. Overall, very nice upload, and thanks! More people should listen to classical music. It IS relaxing, as well as inspiring.

Yes, I am the pianist in all cases; while I spend an awful lot of time on music (several hours practice a day) I sadly do not make my main income from music (I typeset technical manuals at a bus company, atually!), not yet anyway.

My MP3 for Bethena waltz (as well other MP3s, including compositions of my own) are available (for free) at a site called 'FreeScores'; link is in my channel description. :-)

I got a notice from YouTube one day telling me that my account was now enabled for uploads of longer than 15 minutes. Maybe it's because I have been on YouTube for four years, or because I have some highly viewed videos. I THINK that if you chose 'director' for your channel type you can upload longer videos.

As long as this video is, there are yet longer ones. I once saw a video of "8 hours of brown noise"! A very long cry from that original 10 minute limit!
