I have one of these. My Grandfather gave it to me around 40 years ago. I fired 10 ga. 3" 000 buckshot out of it, but later found out that it is only designed for blanks. Flew back about 4-5 feet or so.

Can you shoot shells with projectiles out of it, or only blanks?

Hah! We have one of these and shot it for new years. We paid $225 30 years ago. They do go for over $500 now, but you can get the blanks on-line. Unless you have surround sound on the computer you can't begin to get the amazing THUMP when these go off! Good vid! Thanks.

i have two winchester cannons and a cival war black powder cannon the store that sold me the cannons said they can sell cannons but not blank shells and black powder where can i buy the shells and powder

I bought my blanks from a sporting goods store locally. They had to special order them. The name of the store is Scheels in Cedar Falls Iowa. The black powder that I bought last, came from Powder Incorporated, in Clarksville AR. I found them on the internet.

i'm pretty sure it would as long as it doesn't get stuck in the barrel so I would use a ball just a tad bit smaller then the barrel
