Its the antenna for the XM. Unfortunately the satellite coverage for Xm ends in Puerto Rico. But I keep it on the windshield so it works in Puerto Rico or the USA.
Just technique. Moving to 500 foot a minute gives a good 110 knots. The higher the rate of climb the slower the speed, or the higher the power. No need to waste fuel and put additional stress on the engines, when you have no obstacles.
I am also of the opinion that the Government should leave it open and use it for domestic and general aviation flight including business jet that is capable of using it's 4,595 ft of runway.
Well I am not sure if they will charge higher for light aircraft, but I know that there will be a general Aviation Ramp and there is in the master plan for a separate general aviation terminal. I am not sure if it will be build now, if not it will be in the other phase of the Airport development plans. As for Av fuel I am a 100% sure they will still have it, because the 2 local charter airline do use piston power aircraft in their fleet. Also seeing they consider to include a GA ramp/terminal.
I flew back about 6 months ago. It's a challenging airport.
I will certainly try the new airport when it opens. However, for small planes large airports tend to be much less friendly. They end up charging high fees and are very beaurocratic. Also often they stop having av fuel. lets hope that the new airport does not fall in that trend.... thanks for your comment.
when last did you fly into St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Well soon you have a new airport to land on about 2 years from now. The E.T. Joshua Airport will be close and all flight in and out of St. Vincent will be at the Argyle International Airport . if you will like more information on it you can check out the web sit: svgiadc.com.

Beautiful airplane, I wish you would have shown a little bit more of the engine instruments.
