I just finished Eckhart Tolle's "A new earth" and I kept feeling like I was reading a book written by someone who needed to get away from his personal life to find God. I listen to Jeff and it feels like he believes was can find God in our personal experience and in our love for our fellow man. I need to believe this is true.
Jeff trusted 'the little voice that knows' instead of trusting the misguided messages he received from the outside world. How rare and profound is that. If we all followed his inner lead, we would find our way to the home that lives inside of each of us, that has always been there, waiting, fire on, nourishing and safe... The house of truth. Jai Jeff!
Jeff is one of the few people I have encountered on my spiritual path who embodies his message authentically. With so many detachment models out there right now, I am so relieved to encounter a spiritual teacher who finds his spirituality in his body, instead of by trying to escape it. His model of embodied spirituality- 'cell your soul'- reminds me that I have a body and that my pain is the door to God. I was getting spun out with all the detachment models. Jai Jeff!
