Given the calibre of certain players such as Adrian Lewis, James Wade and most importantly Phil Taylor. The fact they decided to switch from the BDO circuit to the PDC circuit once the PDC was established emphasizes a lot. I personally am not aware of one incident where a PDC player has decided to switch to the BDO circuit. However players who possess great quality such as Barney, Beaton, Taylor, Lewis, Webster, Whitlock etc are all former BDO players which have switched. I can fully understand

@SrWilson3s i couldn't agree more. Adams is this video is about 50, with 20 years or more easily of experience. Ady is 23 or so in this and not much experience, and still beat him. Also this isnt even ady at his best and he has matured since this.

They play each other again in September so it will be interesting to see if Adams can compete with PDC's best. He'll be lucky to win 3 sets if Adrian is on form IMO.

wolfie now he has more of a chance in the bdo he's seeded number 1 there.the lakeside was terrible this year the only one that kept me watchin was dean winstanley.i think he should stay at the bdo and see how many years he can milk it lets face it the level of darts in the pdc isnt way beyond him but its the sort of place you get punished for small mistakes and nobody is there to hang about and as for adrian lewis yop class player and you would be wrong to think otherwise

Now of course Taylor is the best but there are questions now since he has lost what 4 tv events in a row. it's up to players what they choose. What do i expect though, they said the same about barney, whitock, anderson, webster, king, part ect until they switched codes then all of a sudden they was great players within minutes. well we shouldnt hate on the quality of the BDO too much. Just think about Barneveld,Klassen,Anderson,Web­ster,Van Der Voort and Whitlock. All Former BDO players in the last 8 years and all of them QF's and More in the PDC World Championships since they arrived. Especially Whitlock and Anderson who were both finalists and Webster beat a pretty good Taylor.

Whitlock was ranked 4th in the PDC before the World Championships and will be robbed if he misses out on the Premier League.

darts annoys me so much, i want to see the likes of hankey, adams, waites and o'shea play in the PDC to see if they can really hack it. I think adams is a good player but against the pdc elite he would blow it just like hankey would, i think o'shea and waites proved in the last grand slam that they like the big stage and that they can preform on it, i'd also like to see chisnall move over and play on the screen week in week out, because in the BDO he's a wasted talent

Granted I did watch the Grand Slam and a well done must be issued to Scott Waites for a good tournament. Besides in my original comment I was referring to the fact that there is a split in darts and that they don't get to compete week in week out against each other. Anyone can have a good tournament and play above there level, for example Kirk Shepard.

And he's done next to nothing since. Anyway I was originally trying to point out that that darts should be one sport and not split. Adams has ducked the PDC and always will so there's no surprise there and because of that I won't regard him as a world champion because he's not prepared to even challenge them on a one off as you've said. Fair play even Hankey stepped up and competed again and while Taylor wasn't at his best at least Ted tried unlike Adams. Hopefully the PDC will buy the BDO

Martin Adams is pure BDO. That shows comitment 4 a company that loves the sport of Darts. PDC is a gd company but with players who are there 4 the money.

They get more competetive experience through the year with more tournaments, and they are far mor commited and focused on the sport. That's why they get payed so much, so they don't need to do exibitions. They concentrate purely on their darts and competitions.
