A vote is really meaningless, if you dont have any power to control policy, you are not involved in the political process. If a politician promises to lower taxes, then once elected raises taxes, you as a voter have no power, you cannot do anything to change or hold accountable the politician. Once in office, the politician can take money from lobbyist, these people legally bribe the politician to make laws, you as a voter can do nothing to influence politics, its a puppet show, always has been

Many would appreciate Rothschild position if she just came out honestly and said, "look, I just can't see myself voting for a person of color".
