  • While it may be true that the rich Khmai don't care for the poor Khmai, it is also true that the poor Khmai don't care about their own neighbour. They only ever unite when the whole community is threatened, other than that, they only care about having loud music and drinking beer, they don't care if the poor man in another part of the village is on his deathbed that night, they keep the music on, FULL.

  • @neoele11 Thanks for the comment Neoele. If you don't mind, may I ask you why you spelled "Khmai" instead of "Khmer" Many people are doing that now. The word "Khmer" already existed. No need for us to create a new one. Hope you can answer me and will help making this correction in the future. Thanks. Jendhamuni

  • @jendhamuni Hi yes I'll answer your question..."Khmai" is the English way of spelling how Cambodian people pronounce their nationality..."Khmer" was used because the French couldn't pronounce the word 'Khmai', hence 'khmer rouge', which in English translates as 'Red Cambodian'. I've lived in Cambodia for about 8 years mostly and have travelled around, i can speak and understand quite a lot of 'Khmai' myself. I hope this answers your question.

  • @neoele11 I understand, but some words that are officially documented we should not destroy and make up our own just for the purpose of pronunciation. In fact the way you and other spelled it "Khmai" doesn't even sound like the way we say it in Khmer. Khmer should be more like Khmae, the right pronunciation, while Khmai sounds to me like something else. I still don't think we should recreate the documented words to confuse non-khmer speakers. No one destroy us, but ourselves.

  • @jendhamuni I really don't want to get into a debate on how a word is pronounced in Cambodian from written English however, you said when you speak you say "Khmae" not "Khmai". I know exactly how you pronounce the word and in English when the word "Khmae" is seen it is pronounced "Khmay" but if I show the written word "Khmai" to an English speaking person they would pronounce it closer to the way you say it than either "Khmer" or "Khmae".

  • @jendhamuni If words are documented officially or not makes no difference if they are incorrect and "Khmer" is incorrect because is breeds ingornace in the way Cambodians pronounce their nationality and language. "Cambodia" is also incorrect as it should be "Kampuchea" but I'm not getting into that.

  • Help create a nonviolent world everybody....

  • ជាអំពើដែលព្រៃផ្សៃផំផុតសមរាប់លង្គមមួយ

  • When will this type of abuse, cruel and inhuman to the poor ever going to stop? The authorities when will you stop abuse your power and stop use your power for own benefit? why can you just respect others just like your own daughter, your son, your mother , your father? Please respect others, they are human too !

  • So sad... Poor Cambodian villagers... Those violent authority should have their family being abused in similar case, then they will know how suffering it was! :'(
