  • For me, "light rail" is a tram system that operates on its own exclusive trackage seperate from the streets (in part or full). The DLR to me is more a "metro" style system, albeit a "light metro", with its metro-style third rail and high platformed stations

  • what's the music i might add?

  • Rubbish! Because I hate that nosie like PONG! I do that anymore. I like Docklands Trans metro better than those. Sorry!..

  • I dislike Docklands Light Railway anymore. I take a bus to serve all other stations. Because is badly deafeness so noise like"PONG" is loudest. I defeinely crap that DLR trains because many people has too much too suddenly shock of sound is too loudest like steady "PONG". Should warn them needs cut the sound down to made a calming sound better than always disturbed of noise. What exactly yell of it to cause anxious!

  • very nice video!!

  • I've never been on the DLR before, but will need to use it for the first time tomorrow, as I'm performing at a boxing tournament at the Troxy in Commercial Road (piping Scottish boxers into the ring!) So thanks for your video clip - it's great, and full of character!!

  • Yer and the old concrete stock exchange

  • @NODDINGCAT why did u skip elverson road???

  • Did I see P86 stock units there??!! Wow, that's a blast from the past! LOL!!

  • very interesting, thank you but much of it out of focus, or maybe the windows are dirty?

  • Curious comment coming from some one with no films uploaded. When this was uploaded the size limit prevented higher quality.

  • @NODDINGCAT kinda old

  • @boeingnerd77

    yer

  • Small trains

  • light rail

  • Ah, you got Donald Byrd playing. My main man. I love classic Black American style jazz

  • hey does any1 know when is going to be ready tower gateway again? i really hate walking from shadwell to tower bridge

  • It's opened again.

  • Yeh except when their oyster swipe card machines don't work and they give you a £25 penalty fare - boycott the DLR!

  • Nice walking on the DLR

  • Hi Noddingcat,

I think you have done a great job. There is nothing wrong with the music. Keep up the good work.

    Yorkie

  • wow, thats a relilong time ago

  • You've made a great job. Nice views. It brings memories back.

  • Thanks!

  • Great Video

  • This vid would be better without the loser-music and if you'd caught a sunny day so London didn't look so uncharacteristicly bleak! But a favourite journey of mine; though the Jubilee is a tempting alternative! You've gotta adore London... :D

  • sorry teacher, please spend time living your life rather that interfering in other peoples

  • Loser music?

  • definetely not!

  • NORTH SOUTH EAST OR WEST, LONDON IS MOST DEFINATELY THE BEST!!!! east london rocks :p

  • i dont like the music, but docklands is cool, been up one canada square..pretty big building

  • Great Video. I've travelled so many times on the DLR and it's good to see landmarks that you know so well. Also the choice of music was great, because with it, the film already has a historical feel to it and will also make interesting viewing in the future.

  • Awesome, always nice when someone puts nice music to videos like this, really a good sound clip choice. Also a lovely system, I hope to visit London one day, such an interesting city.

  • very, very nice. Love the jazzy music. It sounds very 70's.

  • Underground, railway stations everywhere, night buses and driverless trains with stops every few hundred yards.

You spend all the time moaning about your transport system, but you really don't know you're born in London.

  • Prontford! I couldn't agree more! An urban rail network that most cities in the world would die for, and yet all most Londoners do is moan! OK the trains may be crowded and dirty at times, but at least they're THERE! Like prontford says, in central London you're ALWAYS within walking distance of a tube, and - even further out - theres not many places more than half a mile from SOME kind of train station - that's a hell of a lot more than most cities in the UK have. Stop your wingeing.

  • Yh, how many cities in the UK have an underground network as wide spread as London's?? and They've got so many rail links to place in the UK and France! Ok the trains may suck and be expensive and there's reason to moan about them but the only thing you can moan about is the price of public transport, but get an oyster card

  • dlr is cool

  • nice

  • I prefer to see such footage with the original sound instead of some music, but anyway, nice clip

  • Very nice

  • Nice music - what is it?

  • money by Pink Floyd at the start

  • Thanks, yes, I know the Pink Floyd one at the start. I mean the jazz music during the rest of it. Does anyone know what it is?

  • "Flight Time" by Donald Byrd.
