I always had a problem with this storyline. The Hughes and The Stewarts were such wonderful friends from the early 60's thru the early part of the 1990's. However Susan is only a Stewart thru marriage only with Dan, Ellen's late son. Tom has a history with Emily Stewart seduced Tom and got pregnant and tried to break up Tom & Margo's back in the late 90's.
