  • @KrackhauSwag pioneers, good cheap speakers if there not cheap enough go with duel they make cheap speakers that are still good quality

  • Remember dont buy speakers online without hearing them sound is personal so go make the effort and listen to some!

  • What do you think about the American Audio 12a speakers are they good?

    They are 300 watts...

  • @1.24 i have them in blue!

  • No name, Gemini and JRX speakers? Wow. All pretty cheap and generally considered budget entry level speakers. The JRX are probably JBLs worst product ever - simply designed to sell at a price point. You need to hear some RCF Art series powered cabs or some FBTs, QSC HPRs, JBL PRX, Yorkville NX, Yamaha DSRs - all of which are in a completely different league in terms of sound quality and performance.

  • @alpoulin1 What i didnt mentions is i also have QSC k10s which are amazing but this was meant to be an entry level vid...and all the cheap speakers have earnt me lots of money ;)

  • Nice Vid.

I have a question. I have a hercules dj controller and a laptop/dj virtual and I was wondering how could you connect speakers using a laptop and a dj controller?

    Am I missing something?

  • @DJBRISK1 should be straight forward the speakers have xlr in and phono in so straight from the controller

  • cerwin vega active.....system

  • Great Video ,Very good points . Funny that you said some thing about the power speakers ,What if your Amp inside goes,Well The Amp went in my JBL EON ,I was Lucky it was not at a gig . I am thinking of using my Non Active Speakers as my Main Set now.

    D.J. Terra Prime

  • @Terraprime76 Hi and thanks for the comments, the think is if one powered speaker goes you still have the other so the gig is still going. with an external often when the amp blows thats it. but like all these things you pay your money and you make your choice

  • @jearley2424 this is true. But remember if we take care of our products and not overpower them we can most likely have more power and crisp sound from our passive speakers. The amp to passive speakers will give you more power and a better sound overall. The off brand active speakers will overheat and not sound as crisp as the passive. So the choice is always yours. I like to think spend a little more now no headaches later.

  • Great vid. thanks (subbed)

Anyone want to buy a 3.2kw RCF system?

    4x18" subs + 2x15"tops £1500(ono) VGC

    message me, if interested.

  • Great video and advice! I agree with Jasper, youtube is a great thing but sometimes makes the decision harder. Go to the shop, hear them for yourself. Then weight the facts of what is important to you, is it size, weight, power, looks etc.

  • its good and bad to have the internet and youtube when shopping for speakers, you see soooooooooo many options available to you. But you really need to see and more importantly hear them first hand before making your decision. Excellent Video Jason!

  • Interesting video Jason!

I would say that it's best to listen to systems, and don't take your suppliers stock for granted, some disco shops may only have a few models, and if you look around, you can find more. It's best to look at a few places, and listen to them.

  • ye i love the jbls! sound quality for the price is fantastic! and when you add subs they sound even better with more power handling, personally i think if money isnt an issue hk audio is the way forward they are VERY light and the sound quality is phenomenal! and there a german company so over engineered comes to mind and just great speakers both there active and passive range! oh and they look very nice and very modern too! :P

    great vid jason :)

  • @robjcrowston yes i think that for the average mobile and bigger the HK 3 way set ups are fantastic

  • @robjcrowston What is the wattage for the JBL's?

  • I brought some skytec active speakers about six months ago after a conversation with a mister early about 2 years ago I believe.

Still got the quazars!! but sold the JBL

  • cool :D great video jason

  • nice info !

  • jbl eons are perfect! they got kick and there powerful. 9/10 times you dont need a subwoofer.

  • I use to have a pair of skytec speakers very similar to those soundlabs but mine I Ran off a 30 year old 60 watt HI FI amp I got off my dad when I fist started DJing. They worked well together for 5-10 years no prob. Then of cause a Piky nick one of them from a gig I was doing at a pub, still don't know how he did it, left it in the back of my locked car went away for 30 secs and it was gone with the car still locked and no marks on the car.
