my nephew is very very cajun, not just french, he's cajun! works hard, plays hard, loves his family with all of his heart. he is a wonderful example of what our people are to the rest of the world.

@gittar1 lol, I like your comment, but jardell is a basic french name from normandy, so it could sound cajun french. But it doesn't mean anything nowadays because, by the time, the louisiana cajuns (acadians) have been mix with other catholic people like irish or spanish...so that's why you have nowadays cajun name which haven't french roots: for example, BALFA sound more spanish than french and ABSHIRE more irish than french too.
