theirs a line half way up the tray when u reach this point allow the worms to almost completely finish off all the scraps of food then add another tray on top and add scraps and a wet newspaper on the top of scraps, repeat this again with the next tray and after the next tray is nearly done your very first tray should be ready for u 2 use in the garden ;) plus remember to pour water on the top tray every 2 weeks so u can get some worm tea for your plants when its established.

worm tea is liquid fertiliser so, for example 20% worm tea to 80% Water is a good water fertiliser for your plants/ vegies once a fortnight, they'll jump 2 life plus your helping the enviroment by keeping worms as your decomposers :)

@Reaper139139 that "stuff" you get when pour water over the trays is NOT worm tea. it is lecheate (spelling may be off a bit). "worm tea" is made starting with dry, finished worm castings. these companies putting spigots on the bottom of the bins ought to be horsewhipped. if you are doing everything correctly, the castings in the bottom of the bin are dry, the middle to top 1/2 is moist like a wrung out sponge, at no time are things to be soaking wet to the point of water runoff, they'll drown.

@BoondockFarms in my farm i get worm tea coming out the bottom tap probobly a cup worth or so everyweek and thats without tossing water on the top of it
