@MrAlvier His mother is dying of a brain tumor.... he hasn't been around for a long long time - he's a hired hitman for the Russian mob so you can imagine his family doesn't really want him around... but he wants to see his mom before he leaves again...

and so here he is... visiting his sick mother.

@Raine2824 Much of the music used in the film was by Arvo Part or Gorecki but I don't know who this piece is by.

@boabysands123 georgy sviridov! most tracks in the film are by him. i bought the soundtrack on cd right after the film came out. my favourite tracks on it were all sviridov's. it took me a while to find a cd with his music only (we're talking pre-internet here), but after a while i did, and it's absolutely breathtaking! look for it! (sacred and secular choruses / the ural choir / dir. vladislav novik)
