@angrywhenroused i agree. it's stunning that no one seemed to come up with anything more creative...i like the song. it was the non-stop spinning that drove me nuts.
I'd not heard this in years, .. then it was played as background music to a programme about wildflowers and bees last night on BBC2, .. had to come here and listen to it again, .. very haunting and uplifting!! .. I love the piano and orchestration. Simply beautiful. .. oh, and the lyrics .. .
I've really fallen in love with this song. It embodies every inch of being and humanity to me. It's just incredible! I'm 17 years old, and I just wish there was more music like this around in the charts today.
@Urmotherrocks Luckily there are lots of songs like this from the ages. Joni Mitchell's "Help Me", Tori Amos's "Winter", Stevie Nick's "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You", Bjork's "It Not Up To You" come to mind. You also might like Jim Croce's "Operator", Suede's "Pantomime Horse" and Radiohead's "Exit Music for a Film", though there a little darker.
@Urmotherrocks I wish i'd found Kate when i was 17, it's such powerfull stuff i have no doubt i'd be a different person how if i knew her work at that time
Kate has always maintained two things Madonna could never have: a low profile and the art of aging gracefully. Other than far superior timeless compositions which are genius exercises in ambient texture of course hehe
@PissteethJenkins you cannot compare madonna and bush. they are totally different artists. they are both extremely talented and unique in their own way. madonna can never do what bush does and bush can never do what madonna does. and this is not bad at all. about the aging gracefully thing, madonna is in a field of the pop stardom where the press and people don't let artists to age gracefully. these artists always have to be young and fresh which is unfair and hard for them.
i really, really hate her spinning around non-stop. it gets super boring and super annoying.

Don't start the comparations between Kate and Madonna, please. They're both great in their own way.
