HAHAHA the kid sucks!!!! lmfao!!!! he looks like a total beginner if you want to see a real tennis player check me out: type in my name: Grayson Goldin, I am the first video
lame advice - the kid he show hitting a forehand volley has a very weak volley. the 'coach' says block it back - you should punch it back with a very tight wrist and with authority.

a good technique that i've developed is when the ball is coming towards you, right when you hit the ball i imagine i'm wrapping the ball around with the racquet. that helps me get the perfect angle where i get the ball 1ft parallel away from the net. so like going left or right 1ft parallel from the net. hope this helps.
I've seen about ten video's by now and they are aways missing stuff. Or just doing something different just to be different. In the demo you see the guy having a backswing??? WHY? His shoulder does nothing. Has to turn towards the ball. See tecnique Federer and you will see all you want.
All comes down to:
Hand placement on racket.
Hitting point (and zone).
Arm action.
Body action.
All goes from low to higher and from back to front. Ground-reaction-force people!
ur right you need to keep your eye on the ball, keep your knees bent, make sure your shoulders turn and punch the ball. damn!!!! thank you Lieswood!!!
Continental: Serve, Volley, Backhand and Forehand if you want to hit with spin.
Full Eastern: Place the racquet on the ground. Pick up the racquet slowly and keep the way you are holding the racquet the same. Note: your hand should make a V.
Semi Western: I suggest this grip if you are an advandce player and can apply your own power. V should be on main side of grip.
After you drop your racquet, you should be in the correct position to hit the ball.
3. Swing!: When you swing, you should be pointing you racquet face level to the ball. Accelerate as you swing through and your racquet face should be facing down after you make contact. So: racquet face down, finish over left shoulder if righty vica versa lefty, and do not I repeat, DO NOT try to smack the ball as hard as you can for this will mess up your motion.
1. Set up. The most important part of the swing is the set up. Without a set up, you can't hit a single ball. point your left shoulder at the ball which will give you the right stance if you are right handed vica verca if you are left handed. Point at the ball with the hand not holding the racquet. This makes your body turn before hitting the ball.
2. Loop. The loop gives you pace on your swing. Just point your racquet straight up and drop it.
YES SIR you are right its about time ive seen some sense in the youtube tennis enviroment!! im 15 and i taught like 30 year old since i was like 10 with my dad. i know it sound ironic. and another thing to the forehand is if you are advance use a semi or extreme western grip. the more western the grip is the more you have to get underneith the ball remember that. be 8 inches inderneith the ball and whip up w/ ur topspin guys! have fun!
