  • @rbesco55 Read description. =) Not really waterproof, electric motor is exposed, but it was not raining very hard so it didn't mess up anything.

  • you crazy guy flying in the rain.. lol

  • Landing gear looks like from a 600 scale....did you do this just for the GoPro?

  • @beastyfourpointsix I did it to make it easier to land, (novice flyer that I am) plus I liked the way it looked frankly. When I got ready to attach the camera, it just worked out well as a mounting point. At first I had the camera mounted mid way down the tail boom facing the rotor head. It was a neat angle, but vibrated too much.

  • nice evo

  • That's a great video my friend. Can you please tell me what kind of camera your using please? I have a Blade 400 also, and I'd like to get your set-up on mine. Thanks...

  • @TheTexasboy112 It's in the description...GoPro Hero Wide.

  • you fly like a sissy girl

  • @mahacon Thanks, very constructive comment.

  • lol I found the very first version of this camera on a dirt bike trail, and loved it to death. so, I finally caved and bought the new HD one. GoPro cameras are INSANE!!!

  • Holy crap, that's on the Dragon, cool!

  • Knob

  • @onvarocks Yes, I launched from the top of a knob. Very observant!

  • that's nice!!!

  • perdy cool dude

  • ohh no shit i used to live in knoxville and drove to cherokee NC all the time threw gatlinburg Hell Yizzle That used to be my house...lol nic

  • muito bom pena que é num blade 400 poderia ser um t-rex 400

  • real cool man good job

  • what is the name of the song???

  • "P-Funk is playing at my house" by DJ Riko

  • you responsed this vid to one of mine. i recommend to remove it there, casue my vid ain`t playing nomore for some very strange reason.... best regards, manhill.

  • I looked up the camera and mount - I am impressed. It looks as though you have some modification or addition to the standard mount though.

    Excellent video.

  • Very bold of you to fly that over cliffs and stuff. Does mounting it on the side like that not throw the balance off?

  • Nah it didn't really seem to affect the balance, but I could feel the weight pulling it down.

  • sweet! Where can I buy one of those cams? Sweet vid man!

  • Jesus Christ dude... Google Go Pro hero and there you can see where to get the camera. Takes 10 seconds.

  • outstanding! and thanks for the video-response! 5*!

  • nice car!

  • haha u rode that bike when it was wet!

  • wow awesome! 5 stars

  • Thats an awesome camera, stable, good audio....sweet. Whats the cost USD?

  • I got if from oemcycle for about $170, and this is the more expensive "Automotive" version with a big suction cup among the regular mounting bits.

  • What is the name/manufacturer of the camera - I can't find it on the OEMCYCLE website.

  • They've got it listed my brand "Go Pro" and it's in their "Electrical" section.

  • So that is what the Overlook looks like during the off season. LOL

  • That is freakin sweet. Now we need some nice killboy vids taken with a bike out front, a car with the heli operator in chase, and the heli overhead.

  • That is exactly the plan, and a dream of mine for several years now. I hope to have it accomplished before the next season kicks off. (I need practically empty road to pull it off) Stay tuned!

  • I've seen a video from an RC airplane flying along with a car club on one of their runs. It was some spectacular video!

The chase vehicle was a pickup truck with a boat seat mounted in the back so there was virtually no obstruction of sight.

I'm looking forward to seeing footage from your Heli.

  • Even better, figure out how to rig it so that it follows along by itself. Probably do-able but complicated, and would not work for high speed stuff (like VIR).

  • @brianamarks I filmed my mates pulling sweet wheelies with my HD cameraship! check it out!

  • that music is from the Forza racing game...

sweet video... maybe a trip down the dragon with you at the controls in a car....

  • Glad to see I share something else in common with killboy: LCD Soundsystem

Can't wait for warmer weather to come 'round again to give me an excuse to drop the top!

  • awesome. I plan to use the mounting device on my Blade CP Pro, but I was afraid itll weigh too much and throw off the balance of the helicopter, so I just mount the camera itself under the helicopter between the skids with a few velcrow ties.

  • Thanks! The balance really wasn't THAT affected, but I could feel the weight, and the CP Pro (I have one) is even lighter and weaker, so it'll make it tough. I did the between the skids thing as well, but I really wanted the heli in the shot. Next time I may try without the housing and maybe a custom, lighter mount eventually. (Balsa maybe?)

  • This proves Lifestar LZ will fit at the Overlook.

  • good one... Ive always wanted to take one of my Planes up to the Overlook!!!

  • very nice
