Mad TV used to do really kick-ass musicals....the cast was so talented up until Michael McDonald was the last veteran remaining. There was a great deal of effort that went into giving theatrical performances in every episode. It's not like SNL where the actors have always been untalented and terrible at bringing humor in their work!
