He wold have families rounded up and have parents watch as he raped, tortured and murdered the children. Seriously one of the sickest ever to walk the earth.

@werotus I have no problem what so ever with nudity, as long as it's nessesary and with a purpose with the story(and setting). All this unneccesary nudity was bluring anything I could get from something I can call a theatrical movie (or even a film). And our teacher hadn't even seen the film, she only heard that it was a bit corase and violent. We said it to the school administrator(since our teacher was gone). Also one thing: this was Latin II for 2nd-3rd graders in Upper Secondary.
@werotus Also one thing: Perfume: the Story of a Murderer is one of my favourite films of all time and it's a lot of nudity(not very intimate nudity, though). But it has a purpose. i didn't get it why they zoomed on all those really private parts, almost EVERYONE was nude(at least showed buttocks, breasts and penises). That was so disturbing for everyone in my class(and we are 50/50 boys and girls).
Perfume is amazing yes. And I can see why it would be weird to watch this with a whole class full of people. I personally watched this once with my best friend and once with my girlfriend (that was an awesome night by the way). And on both accations it never got disturbing. With my friend we joked around and wondered how awesome it would be to act a minor role in this. With my girlfriend it was quite interesting since she's never seen anything like it before, it was exiting.

Anyone who disapproves of this movie based solely on the fact that it does have hardcore scenes of sexuality needs to, in my opinion, grow up. As explicit as the material is, Caligula is in and of itself an amazing cinematic experience that everyone should be exposed to at least once. I recently bought this film as I'd heard references to it throughout childhood and I loved Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange. If you're watching it for the first time don't watch the uncut version like I did, it didn't shock me, but I nearly fell asleep because there's too much sex in it to a weird/boring extent. I was interested in the storyline but felt as if I was watching a 70's porno instead of a historical film.
I wish this had less fucking and less separated dicks so I could enjoy my Malcolm McDowell in skirt properly. I have to skip scenes to maintain my mental health, I can't just sit back and watch.

They will tell you that in ancient Rome, all gladitorial events were staged. There is evidence that they weren't. And to be quite honest with all unsundry, I could quite easily see a human being act in such a greedy narscissistic way, especially if they were completely spoiled and surrounded by assassinations. Extinction is going on in large amounts to many other incidental species in our name, ppl find it too easy to choose the path of fascism, that will just make ppl act like crazy chickens

Can't stop watching this trailer, love when the music starts and the actors are presented. I would like to see this film, not sure I would like it though, as it's said to contain much violence (?).But nevertheless, I'm curious.

I agree with this statement completely.
Anyone who disapproves of this movie based solely on the fact that it does have hardcore scenes of sexuality needs to, in my opinion, grow up. As explicit as the material is, Caligula is in and of itself an amazing cinematic experience that everyone should be exposed to at least once. I can say with confidence that Caligula is one of my favourite films.

I recently bought this film as I'd heard references to it throughout childhood and I loved Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange. If you're watching it for the first time don't watch the uncut version like I did, it didn't shock me, but I nearly fell asleep because there's too much sex in it to a weird/boring extent. I was interested in the storyline but felt as if I was watching a 70's porno instead of a historical film.

You know, this movie just isn't that bad.
Yes, you get to see tons of ugly, naked people.
Yes it has scenes of penis-removal (though the scene implies the action without actually showing much).
But considering how much hype it gets for its sexually explicit scenes, it just isn't that graphic.
(btw, i consider graphic violence worse than graphic sex)

I have the x rated version we see full frontal, and rear nudity by both men, and women, and we see felatio, incvluding ejaculation, cunnilingus, and a few lesbian scenes notably by two penthouse models portraying I beleive Caligula's other sisters after watching him, his sister drusilla, and his wife caesonia engage in a sexual threesome. also death scene of caligula, where his assassin beheads a man.
