Outstanding video. However, it overlooked the advent of social media, and the progression of media itself from print to digital, which itself ushered the fall of many, many print titles in the later years of the decade. I suppose it's no surprise the video overlooked this, given who produced it, but still, some objectivity about the magazine trade itself would have been a refreshing reminder of the kind of cogent observation magazines as a media form are supposed to provide. Alas.
@bcoffin12345 - I agree; it's telling that the one story missing from this otherwise brilliant montage is the decline of print journalism. Maybe there simply weren't any magazine covers about that -- by the time an editor discovered that their time was up, it was too late to design a cover about it.
I wonder if a collage of magazine covers on a printed page would be as compelling as watching this video.
