He was the first goalie in 35yrs to win the Hart Memorial Trophy and the next year was the first goalie EVER to not only win it multiple times, but to win in back-to-back. He was the first ever european starting goalie to win the cup and he set a record for shutouts in a postseason that yr.

Did I say he was bad? I said he was highly overrated. In 96 he was outshined by Vanbiesbrouck but he played for a team that could've gotten Dan Cloutier a SC. Btw he has 4 SCs not 2. '86, '93, '96 and 2001. First two came with canadiens who had one of the best defensive minded teams of that time and the rest with colorado as I said above. I rate Brodeur, Hasek, Osgood, Richter, Sawchuk, Vernon etc etc higher.
