@DollieDotCom The song is "Man Against The World" by Survivor. It's from the Soundtrack CD for the movie ROCKY IV (as a bonus track on the 2006 remastered edition), and I think it's also from the Survivor album WHEN SECONDS COUNT (1986).

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin about! I was really getting sick and tired of the all the fast aggressive Rambo music videos where someone just slapped a bunch of clips of explosions etc in there. Also got tired of the 200 versions of It's A Long Road. This song may have been written for Rocky but it's a PERFECT FIT for Rambo. You placed every scene PERFECTLY with the lyrics. GREAT JOB!

@SuperComedytitan I used to have copies of the Rambo movies as .avi files, which I downloaded from a peer-to-peer file sharing site (because I couldn't or didn't know how to convert the DVDs I have to my computer or make clips from them), and I took the .avi files, imported them into the Movie Maker program that comes with most Windows operating systems, and edited/pieced together the clips there.

I believe this video and Survivor title suits the character John Rambo in a way that most people don't see when watching Sly's films. Rambo isn't just a man running around with an M60 shooting a hundred enemies at once like other action films from the same era. What Sly's character does is amplify the appreciation of Vietnam's fallen American troops and gives them a true American Hero to represent them and all of the U.S.A's finest. John Rambo is a true warrior and an iconic figure for soldiers.

Yes, they had planned to have it in ROCKY 4, but they decided to take it out towards the end of making the movie. It appears on the remastered version of that movie soundtrack as a bonus track (and also on at least one of Survivor's greatest hits/best of CDs).

If this song had been in Rocky IV, it would fit perfectly to a scene after apollo's burial, in which rocky is walking around and reflects on good old times (like he did in Rocky III after Mickey's death)

Hey, perhaps this is off the subject, but in my opinion, what what Rambo should be doing is a no-brainer. I have always thought he should be training young special ops recruits in his style of warfare. I think it would be a great idea to have him train, get to know and care about the guys. At first, he's only supposed to train them, but then, of course, he goes in when they're in trouble. For me, he's wasting his talent on doing things for a living that are far beneath him. Just sayin' :)

Well, it definitely was made in a different cinematic style than the previous three. When I first heard that Stallone was making a fourth Rambo movie, initially I was afraid that I might be left disappointed by it, but after seeing it, I loved it just as much as the other ones. I think a reason for a lot of the gore was to bring home to viewers unaware of the atrocities in Burma how bad things really are and have been over there for a long time.
