there;s a difference. most of the NWOBHM was DIY, that made it to the mainstream and had some average to good singers. This new american post hardcore/metalcore thing, is based on some bands that a number of companies, who have strong ties with "multinationals" have fabricated. Plus the vocalists are not very good across the board with some exceptions.

My issue with it is that the genre is stale for the most part before it has begun.

Actually, I rather enjoyed the Suspended Sentence album, and consider it an improvement for Satan, along with Into the Future. That does not mean their debut isn't their best, though. It's more melodic, but heavier on SS.
