  • I'm not just saying this because my Habbies won, but I defy anyone to find a better playoffs than the 92-93.

  • Where is gilmour's goal against the blues? That should definitely be on here :S

  • @MattFulller this is from a vhs tape called best of 93, they showed that goal in another part of the video, along with the Volek and May goals

  • This video should be all Canadiens. 10 straight OT victories. Enough said.

  • Who in God's name disliked this video?

  • Gilmour vs St. Louis? Best goal of the playoffs, bar none

  • would've been 1993 Stanley Cup Champion Toronto Maple Leafs if not only that high stick by fucking Wayne would've actually been called.

  • @camlovestheleafs Yes but who is to say the Leafs would score?

  • @camlovestheleafs They still would've had to beat Montreal.

And just curious....why didn't the Leafs win Game 7?

  • @TheHockeyCentral A missed call by the ref, You could see the evidence all over Gilmore's face. We would've got a powerplay... enough said.

  • @camlovestheleafs I never said Kerry Fraser never missed the call. He did. But what happened in Game 7? That missed call happened in Game 6. IF you're going to blame everything on that one call than you're argument is a weak one.

  • @TheHockeyCentra

Nobody knows what would've happened in game 6, I guess. You never know, Leafs could've scored, the Kings still could've won it. The powerplay would've certainly changed momentum for the Leafs...

  • @TheHockeyCentral No one knows what would've happened if Leafs got a chance on the PP, afterwards it would've most likely changed the momentum in the Leafs direction and who knows what then, also I personally believe the Leafs had a more offensive driven team then the Canadians, which leads me to believe they would've taken the series if they did have one with the Canadians.

  • Where the Hell is David Volek in this? It was the goal that killed the Pens dominance in early 90's hockey! Patrick Division Finals game 7. C'mon!

  • Was this before there were goal horns?

  • if you seen the islanders ot goals and the tornado sirens and bell they were using that in the early 80's they might have been the first for sure can't think of anything else

  • Were the Sabres the first team to have a horn go off after every goal?

  • @dutchfan1 - maybe, Chicago used it too around the same time I think

  • @dutchfan1 Vancouver did too

  • brings a tear to my eye when bob cole calls desjardins ot goal in game 2 vs LA

  • cole did an amazing job in that series.

  • @ih8japscraps ya because LeClair was in the crease and that was a shit way for Montreal to tie the game and force OT.

  • Did Jacques Demers' needing to check McSorley's stick in game 2 of the 1993 Finals create a jinx for Canadian NHL teams? No SC titles for any Canadien team since that season.

  • Just listening to the commentators calling out some classic names is cool.

  • That Gretzky goal still hurts me. Ouch.

  • may day???

  • i know, this is from an old video and they already showed the may day goal and the volek goal.....

  • Habs broke a record that year that i think will stand forever. i know records are made to be broken, but to win the cup that year with 10 consecutive overtime wins... that's tough to do... what a year of overtimes that was.... MAYDAY MAYDAY... i want the habs nordiques rivalry back

  • Does anyone remember what season and what game was; it was overtime and player took a puck in hand behind a goal and then he threw puck to a goal and they win with that goal? I think the season might be 92-93 and that goal was the only one in that game. Maybe Blackhawks vs, Jets?

  • that Desjardins goal (with the tying goal) was probably my best moment as a Habs fan. I'm too young to remember the 86 cup and wasn't born during the great dynasty of the 70s. Patrick Roy was my hero.

  • No Borschevsky in game 7 vs. Detroit, no MayDay??

The only Leaf one was Gretzky's game 6 winner in the semis...after he high sticked Dougie with no penalty. Still bitter.

  • DES-JAR-DINS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How many games went to overtime that year? The habs played in 12 (won 11 straight). The Islanders vs Caps had 3 and Islanders and Pens had 1. The Sabres and Bruins had 2 or 3. There was 2 in the Canucks vs Winnipeg series and 1 in the canucks vs Kings. 2 more in the Kings vs Leafs and 2 in the Leafs vs Kings. Two (I think) in the Leafs vs Red Wings.

  • 28. The only series not to have at least 1 were Penguins-Devils and Kings-Flames in the first round. 5 series had 3 OT games apiece.

  • David volek?

  • Montréal fût incroyable en 93. Les fantômes du Forum nous ont aidés pour l'avoir celle-là! La 25ème en 2009!

  • lol at 2:39

  • where's MayDay? jesus! otherwise good

  • Awesome! Thanks for posting

  • okay, we all know montreal had 10 OT wins, but other teams scored in OT too...no highlight of borshevsky's OT winner in game 7 over the wings?

  • God I still hate Kerry Fraser

  • we were one shot away from the cup finals. not going to be that close again for a long time

  • Where did you find these?

  • What no David Volek.

  • Yeah that was the goal of that year's playoffs! who cares about Kirk Muller!

  • That goal knocked endede the Pens threepeat and probably a dynasty. I remember that like it was yesterday and the arena was quiet as a churchmouse after that. Sad times for pens fans.

  • Yeah, the Volek goal in OT to eliminate the Penguins sent shockwaves throughout hockey; I was watching it on TV, it was almost chilling the way the Igloo fell silent & you could hear all the Isles players yelling & celebrating...
