@gymnastagirl141009 Well, Victoria flies and her technique is just close to perfection. She 's very light indeed. That's sooo rare on this apparatus. Tatiana is simply heavier, but she's soft and fluid, nice lines too. Nastia with today's COP would get some deducions as well for imprecisoion of handstands, late turns etc. she's not the cleanest on this apparatus technically, , hers are not the most remarkable bars. Youna Dufournet is a good bar worker too, and surely some Chinese gymnasts as well
Keep in mind this angle is not a very good one to judge because we are seeing it front on, not from the side where we can see her exact handstand position. But I can see some late pirouettes, missed handstands, bent arms, the messy giant before the dismount,
i really like this routine :d it was realllyyyy niceee. I wish she won (not that i dont like beth) i just find she was a lot cleaner than beth was in this particular routine
@lilidaification Except that she *hit her foot on the bar* and had bent arms on half her swings. A decent routine, and a great release usually, but not gold material.
@kpenda I disagree with you, I think you're biased on the matter of bent arms, what about Beth's handstands and missing a connection.. this routine wasn't the best of Twedle's either..
@kpenda What do you say now , after the Worlds? There're not very many gymnasts who could challange her there.15.00-Silver medal. She's a good bar worker in all respects with good basics and nice flow of movement, and with all my admiration for Elizabeth's swinging abilities, her's are not the best bars! Her's are not classy routines, they're always daring and wow-like concerning the release moves but the rest of the elements and their quality is rather questionable. To be admired though.. .
Would it be so wrong to say that I think this deserved to beat Beth? Usually, I don't like Nabieva's work but this routine was very well executed for her.
@TwisterFlipp95 I totally agree with you. Normally she is a lot messier than she is here. I think the reason she didn't beat her is because she missed her first connection (the toe on to layout reverse hect to the pak). If she had connected that she would have won, imo. Beth did miss two connections in her routine as well so I am slightly confused as to what the DV's would have been.
And I don't accept that "the judges probably didn't see it cuz they didn't watch the slow mo" arguement. I caught that without the slow mo and I'm not a judge.
The thing is I don't think the judges actually deducted for it. If she got a 8.775 after taking 0.3 off (which is the smallest deduction you can take for hitting the bar), then she would've scored 9.075 had she not hit the bar. Now maybe 9.075 makes sense to you for this routine, but not to me.
@sqekcx I think they did. Keep in mind, most people have 1 or 2 late pirouettes in their routine which is .5 each time. I didn't see any in this routine although I did see some form breaks. Keep in mind the judges also love Nabieva because of her legendary skill.
How did she make event finals... Her bar work seems labored.

@gymnastagirl141009 Labored??! Watch A. Reisman - that's labored! This IS a good bar work.

I'm surprised no one gasped or cheered when she did her signature release!

what would a dismount-layout going in direction against the bar be called?

@lilidaification I actually didn't say anything about Tweddle's routine. Beth wasn't as clean as she usually is.

Well you do have a point. This routine is very clean compared to her usual ones.

@sqekcx Haha, it is cleaner than what we're used to from Nabs.
