I've always loved this piece, and Magnus plays it so well. Notice that the piece rocks -- it sways and swings, and the opening theme sounds like a pop song. There's even a bluesy flatted seventh in there. So simple, but there's some major poetry going on in it. Transports you to the edge of a dream, and comes back with a humorous twist. Too bad so little of Van Wilder's work survives. He was famous in his own time, but wrote down little.

yes, and 9 is wider than etc. until you get to eleven courses where you have unstopped strings where they are completely off the neck
