  • Show me all your favorite things.....

  • Duh, elephants are way better than people or pinapples.

  • WTF!? Why are people comparing OK Computer with this!? I like both bands and their respective works, but cannot see how they are in any way comparable. I'm sick of this childiash playground mentality that pervades the internet, especially YouTube. Anyway, since we're making non-sequitir comparisons, which is better, people, a pineapple or an elephant?

  • shoegazing is one of the best forms of beautiful noise

  • this album makes me think in sweet sex e.e

  • this album is probably responsible for saving more teenagers then seatbelts

  • @greggarypeccary1 Which isn't really an accomplishment seeing how car crashes are the leading cause of death amongst teens. Cool band though.

  • im confused? is this my bloody valentine??? cuz its amazing and i want this album

  • tbh Pavement's first two are better than both

  • I didin't even know OK and Loveless were even comparable albums aside from the fact they were both ambitious and incredible 90's albums? Both are awesome, although I do like Radiohead more, problem?

  • @GrayFox1203

I would agree. Loveless is a great album, but MBV really didn't continue on from their work. Sure, Isn't Anything was a good record too, but MVB have not produced consistent albums over TWO decades. It takes a lot to stay together and continue making good music. Radiohead: 1995, The Bends. 1997, OK Computer, 2000, Kid A. And most recently, In Rainbows, 2007. The other 4 are also good, but not on the same level as the other four albums I have mentioned.

  • @aijunk2 too bad you didnt like hail to the thief. and FYI in rainbows isnt their latest album, king of limbs is.

  • @bigwrench01

I do like Hail to the thief. And what I mean by the "most recent" one is their most recent acclaimed album. The king of limbs was good, but not on the same level, The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A and most recently, In Rainbows. Pablo Honey is mediocre. Amnesiac is great. Hail To The Thief is almost a perfect album and King Of Limbs is good, too.

  • @aijunk2 oh okay, yeah httt was great. i feel everybody says the same thing for pablo honey. a lot of criticism on it

  • @bigwrench01

Because it had a lot of underdeveloped songs. There were only a few good songs that stood out. They would be, Anyone can play guitar, Lurgee, Blow out and of course, Creep. The rest were iffy.

  • the battle between loveless and ok computer rages on!

what happens when spiderland is thrown in there? DUN DUN DUN DUUUUNN!!!

  • P.S. This song is lush.

  • i wish people would stfu with all the cum comments on youtube vids. Come up with something new and more descriptive would ya?

  • EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LISTEN TO THE MUSIC, THIS IS NOT OK COMPUTER, THIS IS NOT KID A, THIS NOT ANY ALBUM BY COLDPLAY, IT's MVB.

  • @MoreParksLessParking MBV actually.

  • @MoreParksLessParking the coldplay/radiohead mix-up, whether intentional or not, really got me there; imaginative. You're right though, regardless, Loveless if a fantastic record. No arbitrary comparisons are needed to validate how fucking overwhelming it can be - just grab yourself some headphones and be overcome by the sounds

  • @EPICBEAR73 for philip glass I was really mostly thinking of the NORTH STAR album, particularly the songs "Lady Day" and "Are Years What," the first of which can be found right here on youtube. you should really listen to it.

  • @EPICBEAR73 I mean philip glass was doin this sort of stuff in the 70's but whatever man. never make any blanket statements about music unless you really have heard all music. I love my bloody valentine, but to say that they are unmatched is a falsehood.

  • People arguing over the placement of albums on a PITCHFORK "best of" list..... lol. I thought everyone hated pitchfork

At any rate, I think this and OK Computer are both fantastic albums

  • Look at all these pretentious, elitist douchebags pointlessly arguing on YouTube over who's better than who.

MUSICAL TASTE IS MERELY AN OPINION; IT IS ENTIRELY SUBJECTIVE; THERE ARE NO FACTS, ONLY INTERPRETATIONS.

Both OK Computer & Loveless are perfect works (in my opinion); yet they are different. Now shut the fuck up and enjoy the music.

  • @bloodskid Most people heard of the whole subjective argument, and they probably think that too, but still, you can argue tastes. Saying "it's subjective" just kinda stops the argument and some people like arguing.

  • @bloodskid wrong

  • @bloodskid musical taste is subjective, but not entirely. I don't mean to disagree with you, I think they are both excellent albums. I just hate it when anyone says the arts are 100% subjective. No one with any knowledge of music would argue that LMFAO is better than The Beatles, and there is a good reason for that.

  • @Ajapam34 True. "Entirely" may be too strong of a word. However I did use the word "Musical *Taste*" and not "Quality" - quality is much less subjective than taste, obviously. I know people who say they love the Beatles and love and listen to LMFAO as well - that's "taste". But you're right, anyone who is knowledgeable about a specific form of art - music in this case - probably enjoys higher quality bands while disregarding shitty "music" like LMFAO.

  • @bloodskid yeah, that makes much more sense. Quality and taste are seperate and often independant of eachother

  • @bloodskid youtube comments are a cesspool of stupidity

  • @bloodskid - thank you for saying this.

  • Check out Dead Sunday on facebook.

  • This is KO Computer.

  • Reminds my child's birth:Sweet:

  • @AsmodelSolijah how can you lump coldplay and radiohead in the same category..apples and oranges..also have u actually heard Thom's voice?..it's an instrument itself let alone the other layered brilliance of the band!

  • @AsmodelSoljah what exactly do you mean by pretentious? btw i'm not even a fan of radiohead or coldplay if that for some reason matters.

  • @AsmodelSoljah

The only pretentious one is yourself. You seem to think that your opinion is fact but that's probably because your just another self-centered teenager.

  • loveless and kid a both kick serious ass

  • Ok Computer is complete shit compared to this, seriously.

  • @diosterco Come on, OK Computer, Kid A are perfect albums and Loveless is perfect too. don't judge.

  • @Maerdas aren't you judging when you say they're perfect, u div

  • @carlo88moe don't judge in a bad way...

  • @Maerdas

    OK Computer = meh.

    Kid A = pretty good.

    Loveless = epic.

  • vs. 00's-now... where It's basically "is this enough clothes off for me to go platnium!.*manager*= "aye can we get more auto-tune! we can almost hear her voice & shes got a bio were still finishing in edit about how she was blessed with her natural 7 octaves!, ok take 2! & hun don't worry about the hd we'll photoshop thos 400 layers of your baby-fat.. lets make some money ppl.. remember just read the sheet the writer is RIGHT HERE BABE.. your beautifull.. *3 2 1 &* unkown true vocalist steps in

  • @EPICBEAR73 I agree "Loveless has the revolutionary 1 of a kind groundbreaking feel of the very best of the best ex like Ok Computer etc.. but It can't age because iT CLEAVERLY WAS WAY WAY AHEAD OF it's time & buried It's vocals so the content of the lyrics can't be scrutinized or even judged for ANY flaw in the same way other albums can because It's MANIPULATING BELINDA & KEVIN "USING" THE SOUND OF EVERY WORD ITSELF instead of how strong It implies or applies to the theme of each songs of album

  • show me all your favourite things, i'll show you all mine too.

  • @EPICBEAR73 answers on a post card not a ream of A4

  • This is an amazing album but never in a million years better than OK Computer, that album is a classic and a revelation of elecrtronic rock at the time, absolute legend i take nothing away from this album, and i'll probably still get grief for saying this.

OK Computer is the best album of the 90's easy

    behind it are;

    MBV - Loveless

    The Verve - Urban hymns

    Radiohead - the bends

Oasis - only two good albums

  • 100% better than OK computer. Personal favorite of all time. This albums nostalgic without even being connected to any memories. First time I heard this album straight through I saw my whole life flash in front of my eyes. good memories at that

  • timeless album.......masterpiece

  • This one's a beauty. Thank you for posting.

  • It's like listening to Cocteau Twins backwards

  • dreamy...

  • "Fall apart my bleeding heart, nothing left to do,

when in love, i`ll be the death of you."

    Best lyrics of this song.

  • god, this song is so good.

  • fav. song on the album

  • I want to have sex with this song!

  • anyone make the connection to the voice sample used in Xtal- Aphex Twin (selected ambient works 85-92)? very similar

  • @jelosmells Oh yeah, it's a bit similar. I didn't ever notice that. Thanks man.

  • i'm going to come right out and say it, i'll be willing to bet alot of cum has been shed to this record..

  • @Denofster420 Most of it by people sitting at their computer, listening to this exact video, alone haha.

  • @MyEggIsBoiled lol, probably. that means some people actually incorperate love with masturbation. that's funny if you thought i do..

  • @Denofster420 Hmm... Mostly just tears in my case. I guess that's mostly just because I can seldom get laid... and I wouldn't wanna spoil such a sweet song with the meaningless sex I'd have to it... because that's about the only kind I can manage to get when I do.

  • Best song on Loveless

  • I guess this is the closest I'll ever come to heroin.

  • GENIUS

  • You might like it more than O.K. Computer but it's not comparable.

  • I am a huge Hip-Hop fans who always thought that Dr. Dre The Chronic was the greatest album of the 90s. Seriously, I never thought anything could topped The Chronic. That is until I heard Loveless and that album surpass The Chronic album as the Best Album of all time. Seriously, there are no bad songs on this album. Every song on this album is freaking great.

  • @RateDTD that's like saying i thought a mcdonalds cheesburger was the best food in the world until i went to an italian fine dining restaurant where dinner costs $100.

  • @TADGELL sadly, it seems like people people do that all the time

  • @TADGELL:

    ahahahaha

  • haven't heard this since the 90's and it is still beautiful with girlish overtones.

  • How do you write a song this good? It's beyond me.

  • OH MY GOD SHUT UP.

    LOVELESS IS AMAZING.

    OK COMPUTER IS AMAZING.

    END.

  • @jimbob0025 yes both amazing records.end of story.

  • I just read the wiki article on this record. Wow! True genius Kevin Shields was extremely difficult to work with - and nearly bankrupt the record label making this album! It's an interesting story in the annals of musicology - and the end result speaks for itself. One of the most important recordings I have ever come across.

  • Everythings better than OK Computer.

  • This whole album is the soundtrack to a million people's first everything . . .

  • @jofaol Its awesome, but NO WAY!!

  • Shoegaze music is ? <3 Is.

  • fucking amazing music gods MBV .. saw them live at roskilde festival.. not many people there knew them so we where right in front... wow... a sonic wall blast!! love it <3 this album is killer..

  • Best song ever?

  • Isn't it ironic that I love loveless ?

  • must be perfect

  • 1. How can this much loudness be so hypnotic?

    2. How can this much noise be so tranquil?

    3. How can this bedlam of sounds be so dreamy?

I love loveless, for it's the answer that completely ridicules all the 3 doubts above.

  • Nevermind rules, loveless rules,ok computer rules.who disagrees can suck my balls

  • @00Debaser00 How can you compar Nevermind to OK Computer and Loveless???? o.o'

  • 1991: Nevermind by Nirvana was believed to be the album that will change evreything. MTV wanted us to believe that fuckin' crap.

It sold 5 million copies over the worldwide at the time it was released.

1991: My Bloody Valentine actually realesed one of the last revolutionary works ever: Loveless.

Sadly, It was a commercial failure.

  • @mahavishnu

im happy to tell you that My Bloody Valentine is getting bigger than ever now. Kids all over the world seem to embrace the group. In the longterm this group will be remembered.. That´s no failure in my eyes..

  • @drsynpro so true. this album will never age. I'm 17 and i've gotten all my friends into this band. I have loveles and isn't anything on cd, vinyl, and mp3. After a night of gettin messed up we all come back to my house and chill out to my bloody valentine on vinyl in my basement.

  • @mahavishnu i wouldn't say that the isn't any "revolutionary" works floting around, my might be suprised a the sort of stuff about. And nevermind is a good record, hardcore music fans ditest it because its so overated.

But no can say that "nivana unplugged" isn't the shit , cause it is.and its modest about it too.

  • @mahavishnu true , but to me its clear to see how nevermind had much more mass appeal, they are both great albums though

  • Favourite song.

  • Kind of ironic how an album named "Loveless" could sound so romantic.

  • i think this is my favorite off of Loveless... it's absolutely heart wrenching

  • This is a BEAUTIFUL song!!

  • play this on any internet jukebox anywhere and people immediately notice - instant testimony to what a great band this was almost 20 years ago and how well the music has aged.

  • my fave song on loveless is there hit single only shallow

  • ok computer is a good album but i find it overated i didnt like it that much.

  • hey cardigan, it's not weird. it's awesome.

  • jaja el ok computer no iso nada es la cpia de aphex twin loveles es mil veces mejor q esa patraña egocentrica york

  • Awesome

  • This is better than OK Computer

  • yep

  • The only 90s album that can approach OK Computer is Loveless, and vice versa.

  • @jofaol

    Perhaps.

    But not Kid A.

  • @jofaol hey lets not go that far ( i mean its an opinion yeah) but even though this album was pretty revolutionary, OK computer has no reason to be compared to it, why? because its completely different, Kevin and Thom are both great composers and artist, and they are so different too, therefore theres no point in comparing their work

  • @IamTheScorchedEarth

i think the comparison here stems from this album being names as the top album of the 1990s by Pitchfork, and then getting bumped down to #2 in lieu of Ok Computer when they revised the list in 2003..

  • @Keiichichanisback yeah probably... still a goddam great album

  • @jofaol Oh, man! This is such a raw affirmation.

I really love Loveless. What's more, I know this is one of the best recordings of all time, but OK Computer is in the top of everything along with Revolver by the Beatles, Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys and Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd.

Nevertheless, OK Computer and Loveless are revolutionary works that have inspired and shaped a lot of freaky lads like us. Kevin Shields and Jonny Greenwood are guitar gods.

    Cheers!

  • @jofaol As a devout Radiohead fan...I could not agree with you more.

  • @jofaol almost not really but close

  • @jofaol

I don't know if I would say that, but they both rank pretty highly in my mind.

  • @jofaol

    not difficult

  • @jofaol nah

  • @jofaol I like OK Computer and Loveless

but can't choose which one is better cos they're both brilliant

  • @jofaol too different to compare, I love both albums though

  • @jofaol Radiohead are the most overrated group of all time. I have never understood what people have seen in them. Their music is incredibly dull to me.

  • @lobobmax why must people always compare and contrast...

  • @jofaol good song but cmon. dont hate.

  • @jofaol That would be the argument of the century! lol..but I would agree with you! cuz this is It for music for me. I KNOW I'll never get anything as good, sadly.Ok Computer though is almost It's VARIANT EQUAL only with vocals upfront. But nothing sonically & as a total realized package beats MBV's Loveless. It's so sad music was exploding in the early 90's so much so It imploded with Ok Computer signaling the very last depressing death of the art forms last groundbreaker.& that was It!=2011 :-(

  • @playaeyez17 haha I dídn't expect that staement to generate so much controversy. It was a reference to Pitchfork's Best Albums of the 90's list. This would be my top 10 10. Tool - Aemina 09. Elliott Smith - Either/Or 08. Radiohead - OK Computer 07. Nirvana - In Utero 06. Nas - Illmatic 05. Tricky - Maxinquaye 04. Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come 03. Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister 02. Pixies - Doolittle 01. My Bloody Valentine - loveless
  • @jofaol no

  • @jofaol

Two COMPLETELY different albums. It's like trying to compare Classical to Jazz.

  • @jofaol well duh, OK Computer isn't all that great, Loveless is a fucking masterpiece. If you made a claim like "this is better than Pet Sounds" or "this is better than Zen Arcade" that would mean something

  • this can't be compared to Pet Sounds, because the music style is completely different, so that would actually not mean so much.. So plz shut up with your bullshit. And yes, OK computer is a good album, if you don't think so then it's too bad, you're missing out on some good music

  • @fat8622 ok computer is great actually. it's flawless just like this record.

  • It's like LUSH & Jesus and Mary Chain tossed into a blender; very cool sound.

  • This is my favourite song on Loveless. It has this ability to make me love life again. It seems very reflective, and it has this unique atmosphere that I don't think can be replicated. It sounds so heavenly and calming. To me, it's a soundtrack to the feeling of being in love, for some reason. It's ever so beautiful. Every time I listen to it, I feel I'm being wrapped up in some kind of blissful aura. If I should enter the Gates of Heaven, I hope this song plays.

  • ...that took me away on a lovely bliss, MBV so good, so very good. Probably the best record ive ever heard, by far.

  • Best song on one of the best albums ever.

  • Genius. The music the lyrics, atmosphere. EVERYTHING.

  • A monumental song on a monumental record.

Please modern bands, make music like this.

  • Some modern bands do. Just check out The Pains of Being Pure At Heart.

  • I drove from vancouver to la in 92 in a $400 dollar vw bus that had a $3000 stereo system. I just let this album play the whole way.

  • it's weird when a sound can overwhelm you more than an image.

  • @cardigansarecool not really

  • @cardigansarecool But the image is part of the package. The cover perfectly sums this album up.

  • @cardigansarecool ... That's the way it's supposed to be

  • @cardigansarecool is it really? sounds are generally more emotionally affecting than images i thought.

  • @cardigansarecool It's actually not weird lol, It's basically just exactly the same as the 90's & any other modern tv-era decade before this 1. When you had a Ton of more creative minds breaking through & makin thier livin letting you hear the truth for yourselves & decide..am i legit? does this warrent your 16 bucks so I can go make a cooler 1 & give MY little odd honest CREATIVITY.. well WHO f'n cares this IS ME glad you like it though! cool story bro(lol)

  • Música colorista... es como si estuviera escuchando a Cocteau twins

  • One of the few records to change my perspective on music way back in 1991.Damn this makes me feel old & sad.Oh well life is supposed to suck.HAHAHA

  • Comment removed

  • I think Sugar really was inspired by this track on their song "Your Favorite Thing". I love that song, and now I love this one even more.

  • I heard this at Local in Silver Lake and it immediately lifted my spirits. It's such a bright and beautiful song.

  • Out of all the songs on Loveless album, and I certainly love all of the songs, this one is my personal favorite song on that album. This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever listen to.

  • anyone know what's the words to the "chorus" on this? the first vocals of the song start out with it and it's repeated periodically...

  • "fuck me"

  • that's what i always heard...

  • This is my favorite song on loveless... but I honestly don't think the chorus is "fuck me." In my opinion, it simply sounds like harmonies inspired by Brian Wilson from Beach Boys.

  • lovely, makes me fall in love again

  • One of the sexiest tracks on the album, Bilinda is lush on this

  • hands down the best song on Loveless, and one of my favorite songs ever

  • I agree. Such a calm inducing song. This is a lullaby for adults.

  • magic, one of my favs from Loveless, certainly don't make 'em like this anymore

  • iunno why, but this song always reminded me of a shampoo commercial lol

    awesome song though :)

  • Thank you for posting this great song, bnugia2.:)

  • possibly my fav song from them

  • This song is so beautiful.
