@KitFireburn I'm used to it. I've got cut in half twice. There is nothing left of me below my chest now. Here I am placed on the table as I type away, like some robot or something. I wouldn't survive is I lose any more of my body. Not something you see every day.
People often pick me up because I am so small, like a baby.
@MegaBumblebee666 Yes, they< do- Meant to be a satire on safety films, '"Gabelstaplerfahrer Klaus" has made it to become a "must" for anybody who has to do with storage and forklifts.
For god sakes! In my workplace, if there is an intersection or an entrance, we HONK THE HORN ONCE to let people know we're coming in on a forklift! >_<
i fuel airplanes at an airport and they used this instructional video during training yesterday, purely because it shows to follow procedures safely (fueling a plane is more than just hookin up a tanker truck to a plane and fueling it, there are plenty of ways that fucker can light up like a huge molotov cocktail if you dont follow proper bonding/leak/etc. procedures), whether its a different job or not. all of us laughed watching this, the germans are fucked up haha love it.
@SpiderInABath Gabelstapler is the term used in everyday language. "Fork staker", so to speak. The proper term is to be heard in the beginning of the film:" motorbetriebene Flurförderzeuge", but nobody uses that term except the firms that build and sell them, or safety engineers.
"Flur" is used for anything low, compares to English "floor" of course.
"fördern" means to lift, to raise...
Zeug means "stuff", "thing" "tool", mostly in combines: Fahrzeug- vehicle, Flugzeug- plane
Well, this is actually the usual way how Germans get taught to be careful. I'm still suffering from nightmares after watching a video that was meant to teach children how to use knife and fork at lunch (you can't imagine that massacre - blood and guts everywhere!). I only use a spoon since then - even for pizza and steak ;)
Oh, there is a subtitled version of this? :D Thought this video is only popular in germany. The voice is the original narrator of driving school educational movies. That's what it makes so funny. I really thought it's just one of those movies. And then bam, it gets a gory video XD
What you idiot missing about : A parody on a safety instruction video for forklift drivers follows young Klaus as he begins his first day on the job as a qualified forklift truck driver. The film spoofs the original genre very effectively, notably through employing the best-known German narrator of instructional video clips on traffic safety for the voice-over.
@dccmpbll Actually, you can buy the original version of TF in Germany. The same goes with TF2. But you have to proove that you're 18 years or older. And the german law makes a difference between violence as satire (like this movie) and glorifying violence (like TF).
@Mikemc Then you miss the punchline, it is not just makabre slapstick. It is the voice in the background, as other users here have commented on: HE was THE VOICE for an educational TV-programme, the "7th sense",about rad safety!!! Try finding it here on youtube , "Der 7. Sinn", it ran for years and years.
The joke is that in the first dangerarous situation the comment is parallel to the action ( mind where you are going), later the comments are just harmless compared to what is going on.
@Jeansschwimmer In the scene when Klaus bores his fork through the man who has just wiped off the noodle from his jacket the voice tells us that wearing ear protection is of the highest importance when noisy machinery is around. In fact that kills the man, because he does not hear Klaus coming.
@Jeansschwimmer Watch for the secene when the bloke with the noodle on his coat gets bored through. The voice tells us something about the importance of wearing ear protection when noisy machinery is around.
Pictures and text are diverted more and more throughout the film. That is like school, when a bad teacher does something and thinks he is teaching, while the kids do something different.
yea, in anywhere but the United states, people are completly unafraid of offending anyone, such that car safety ads involve lots of gore, and as a child when i was visiting Poland, i often saw ads involving sex and titties on daytime TV
completely normal there, would be unprofessional and absurd here
@ERRORxakaRay No, it is parody,. the best thing about this is the fact that it was possible to employ two eperts for the job. The actor who plays "Klaus" is the" arch-loser" Whatever he tries goes wrong. You know, there are the eternal villains, the eternal victims....
The other thing is 'THE VOIVE for instructional films about traffic safety. Watch out for "Der 7. Sinn" here on youtube, there may be some. It was a TV-programme that ran for years on end.
@rakamig It's memorable enough to prove a point. One of the teachers at my high school died because he was speared in the chest with a forklift. If those kids had watched this they might not have been so reckless.

No, the narrator is saying "auf gut Deutsch: Gabelstapler", which literally translates as "in good german: forklifts".
They just used the english equivalent "in plain english: forklifts" in the subtitles.

@CountArtha In German (or at least, in Dutch, probably the same in German) "staple" means "stack" or "pile". So "stapler" is "stacker".
