Haven't been back to Bloomington since I graduated, '87, good year, National Championship. Crean just need to get Indiana kids to stay in state. Too many leaving. The Plumlee boys went to Duke. One Zeller kid goes to UNC. The kid from Evansville went to Louisville. Oden and his buddy went to Ohio State. The number 1 shooting guard from Hamilton Southeastern 2012 class just signed with Michigan State. Crean is starting to get some kids. Got one of the Zellers. Others are coming.

It's been years since I was at an IU basketball game (or football for that matter), but I have never found a crowd that loves its team more. Even when it has been...a dry spell.

I got out of class early in the third grade to go to an IU basketball game. I'm pretty certain that wouldn't have been acceptable in any other state. But it was fun.

Indiana, and IU, both have a special place in my memories. Thanks for posting this.
