@nightwasd The alcohol essentially acts like like paint thinner in paint and softens (or rather melts) the clay temporarily, allowing for smoothing and tool mark removal.
@blackantibiotic I use mixture of super sculpey, sculpey original and sculpey III . It's a recipe that gives me the hardness and softness that I after,
The armature ( skeleton wire ) stays inside and will not be removed. Those which are sticking out will eventually be cut off and the area will be re-touched to make it even with the rest.
I'm curious as to what those removable plugs are (that you use to fix in the arms) and where to buy them. I should note too I don't have sound so if you mentioned it audibly I can't hear it.
Do a search on " Square tubes " on google. There are alot of art supply stores that sells them. THe one I am using are made of plastic. You should be able to get brass too. But I prefer plastic as I do not need to get a metal cutter for it and its quite expensive for poor artist like us :/

UnknownNewDisease 1 year ago
@UnknownNewDisease It mostly doesn't matter but I recommend small amounts of rubbing alcohol.

@UnknownNewDisease
I use Denatured Alcohol. You can get it from any pharmacy. Nothing fancy :)
juliankhor 9 months ago
@juliankhor In UK Scotland it is forbidden to sell or to buy Denatured Alcohol. What can I use as substitute? Please.

how'd you remove the skeleton wire and tube that sticked on his butt? after sculpting?
TheTremor209 1 year ago
@TheTremor209
You do not remove the skeleton. You will leave it inside the clay even after its baked hard
juliankhor 1 year ago
