I'll give it a go! Thank you so much for clearing up that bit about the 6th string down to C on the 5th string. That really helped me get a better handle on doing this song.
glad you liked the posting and i too could never figure out how dylan got that great sound from a C chord until i found out the secret - cheers from the uk to the good old US of A - martin.
Pretty good video. Not complaining, but my constructive critique is that I would have liked to see the right hand as well. Also, a hammer on little lick on the 4th and 5th string could use some explaining.
first of all let me say how much i liked and appreciated your "it's alright ma" posting - i've often wondered how he played that and now i know!! - so to "love minus zero" - i didn't include the right hand as it wasn't really doing anything much, the only thing there is to hit the best bass notes for each chord or chord inversion, and that hammer thing on strings 4 and 5 was just a little addition i couldn't resist putting in but i don't think's in the original, just a hit of those - continued
carrying on - - - those 2 strings and then right after it drop the fingers onto the frets (string 5, fret 3 - string 4, fret 2) so that they catch the sound before it fades. Cheers from the uk to astonishing america - martin.
thanks for that info, BaxSandel47, and cheers from the uk - martin.
