i liked it till i listened to the lyrics and realized that hes a criminal because he broke a glass bottle on a street...i guess he could be talking about just jumping to unreasonable conclusions and blowing things out of proportion. I think the song isn't so much about the police or higher authorities thinking he is a criminal, but rather about the innate feeling of guilt caused by his actions. And that guilt causes him to escape. I mean thats just how I connect to the song, I may be totally off, I didnt check the lyrics myself
