  • Who was the bird singing in this vid?

  • flo rida guetta and all you djs take note this is how to make a kick ass dance track yeeeeeaaaa booooooyyyyyysss

  • Time Machine please..........

  • I fancied Mr C so much! :O)

  • Tune.

  • If the Truth can be told ..it WILL be understood .

  • 2.43 ...still makes me rush even without class A's!

  • VERY GOOOOOD !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Classy song ! 1992 ? I haven't then even dreamed of studying..i recognize this song being often played on MTV. I wonder what has happened to nowadays music ? Appears like todays artist are being off with their invention while they're doing nothing but keep covering superb tracks back from the 80's and the 90's .

  • awesome!!!

    90's forever :)

  • this is the sound rihanna is trying to do with her new song with Calvin Harris, but she fails - this song by the shamen is EPIC.

  • oh my a forgotten era... :( ,rip off Britain rape me some more...... phorever people :))))))))

  • 70's 80's 90's music. Best three eras for tunes, now it's shit. Pure dog excrement. Shamen were some of the best of the 90's.

  • @RustiSwordz 70s yes 90s yes 80s??? you sure...

  • @RustiSwordz Well i grew up then so i suppose yes nostalgia wise!

  • I remember this when life was easy; there was always yesterday to do everything, all seemed free and easy. We weren't being watched by big brother, not prostitutes to the government tax pimp! Or being subjugated to political ideologies! Now we're broke, Taxed into povety; Proles to the new world order!

  • I like all sorts of music from classical to jazz to pop to hard rock to dance and even the odd bit of country and opera here and there (don't tell anyone)!

However from about 2005 onwards I find the music scene mainly uninspiring... depressing even. Fortunately there's a century plus of excellence behind it to fall back on.

Move Any Mountain next me thinks.

  • Never gets old!

  • can remember recordin' this off of The Chart Show! :D

  • Im happy i grew up watching the Chart show on ITV every saturday lunchtime, so too with listening to the Shamen rather then rapstars copying old tracks & mixing them up, speeding them & slowing them down etc

  • Anthem

  • stil cool

  • Love it!

  • It must of been nuts making the video for this haha!

  • @badboymathematician Uncle Google will be your guide. You're pretty far from the truth there Captain. There were people that brought it down, but these weren't one of them.

  • OMFG the gaga beiber trolls are in action... Tunes that maybe some of the young will get to feel, what with the state of drugs these days... bout time

  • who is the great lady singer? k.blud,

  • HELL.YEAHHH

  • We are !!!!

  • The white guy rapping is pretty pro, but the woman singing makes the song falls flat for me

  • @GibberGooGabber You're kidding aren't you? Love this chorus. One of the lesser-known but better Shamen tunes for me.

  • they spelt forever wrong.

  • @smallinson So?... like any artists can spell these days..... or come up with anything original without using someone else's music in the background.

  • absolutely brilliant dance song, loved the lyrics too..very catchy but a little deep..thanks for posting

  • i love 90´s;)

  • Admos2000, I think I love you.

  • This was the zenith of dance music, but the stuff that came before was very very good. Most of it after was watered down rubbish and even creamfields etc is the same

  • oh what a dimwitt, i removed my own comments? yeah how insulting comparing the shamen with current overproduced tat!

  • I always get Nostalgic when i hear this kind of music. Even though i was only 12 or 13 when this song was released.

  • @evster320 i feel you 101%

  • @evster320 Me too, I was 12 at that time :) I still hope that this music return in some form...

  • @evster320 I was in My 20s, But I hear what you're saying

  • @evster320 Same here, probably makes the nostalgia feel stronger!

  • Brings back memories

  • The Shamen are true pro's.I have heard everything they have made, and they are without equal.Period.

  • someone is using my username... :(

  • Wowser, this song and video takes me back!!! first album I bought, on Cassette!! you have to love it

  • @alecmoors oh the cassette!! I remember going into "Andy's Records" in Grimsby and buying this on "Cassette Single!" I've still got it somewhere! Probably won't play now tho :(

  • @Esmeuk

Where and when did you heard that?

  • MattThe Oak you are a dick..this is a classic!!!!!!

  • Lets be honest, this is really pretty shit

  • this is when you went out and danced your butt off, no gym needed back then!! why can't they make music like this again?? we were so lucky

  • @1967bo1967 you're so right! Oh how I want to go down Pier39 in Cleethorpes again and "rave my ass offf" to this one. If only we could have our time again, eh?

  • Pioniere im "House-Rapping" 1986 - bis heute : oft kopiert - nie erreicht!

    The basic in Techno-House Music!!

    Thank You forever people...

  • Good track. Still sounds as good in 2011!!

  • OWO I love this video and song!!!!

  • aww man this takes me back !! this woz a seriously good choon bak in the good old dayz best times of my life.........man i wanna go bak :(

  • I love the way she sings "people"

  • i couldnt agree more admos2000 ! does any one have a time machine? I wana go back!

  • has anyone got the version Graham Park use to play

  • Grew up with Boss Drum which is far less 'chartlike' as this version certainly is! 80s was my time M7 & if wanted pop I'd listen to one of my Now Albums or I Should Be So Lucky. The Pet Shop Boys ftw anyway. PS:You need to view ALL COMMENTS btw

  • Ich haben eine BULLET for DAS Bieber... to think alot of people have never heard this.... banging tune for a banging era

    RAVING WILL NEVER DIE :)))))))

  • god take justin bieber and lady gaga and give us the 90`s back. :-)

  • so good... soothing...

  • This, and Hypereal were classics at the time, yet noone knew it.

  • This was a quality album at the time!

  • Thanks for sharing this 90's Masterpiece.

    Outstanding Tune !!!

  • Damnit,I have been so soaked up by new music, that I had completely forgotten about this. The Shamen, man, this is kick ass music. This takes me back.Hell yeah, this is epic shit.:P

  • ..with regards to Lady Gaga..she is a creation from start to whatever finish they want to give that character..the world is told about her,we are told she is amazing, people then start to buy her "music" based on the amount of media coverage the character gets...and then the "Lady Gaga" enters the Charts and then people start to believe the hype, the media coverage..the shite music,...people the start to think "yeah this music must be what we want to hear"..and then shell out money for shite.

  • They say accidents happen , well im glad because i would have never found this video.

  • I love The Shamen, saw them with the Utah Saints at this rave in L.A. Man, I was stoned..

  • we don't have to look to far to find ourselvee...

  • 1993. I'm just looking at the UK Top 250 of that year and realize how wide-ranged the musical chart landscape was then. Meat Loaf besides Utah Saints, New Order sharing the charts with Jamiroquai, even Phil Collins and of course all those incredible dance tunes. Today, you've got only those casted retort wank, gloryfied stupidness Gangsta-HipHop and Lady Gaga. I'm happy I experienced my youth in the nineties.

  • @Admos2000 preach on!

  • @Admos2000 Ive just been looking at UK Top whatever from whatever year.

How "cooked" are the charts? I mean,it is so obvious !

The charts are a false representation of the kind of music we would actually buy if we had the choice to do so.

    NO!

We are bombarded with names, bands.the media (bunch of lying cowards IMO) and controlled by the banks push whatever they feel appropriate (btw the shamen fucked off because i guess they realized they were being manipulated.i.e shafted and used by banks)

  • @Admos2000

You are lucky to have had that.

  • @Admos2000 like it

  • @Admos2000 todaysmusic has destroy what TRUE music really is hip hop and rnb is not wanted in the UK and only pussies listen to lady gaga and that shit the shamen, TTF,2 unlimited that was TRUE music

  • @Admos2000 So so true, it was a great year, bring me back!!!!!!!! :)

  • @Admos2000 Yeah man, that was some great shit that came out then.

  • @Admos2000 well said me old pal 90s dance fukin magic

  • @Admos2000 you forgot drum and bass!

  • @Admos2000 Agree Admos, best years of my life!!!!

  • @Admos2000

Well said, music these days is absolute SHIT, manufactured, overated, sheep following CRAP

The music back then was diverse, real and different (the opposite to what it is now basically)

  • Now you have x-factor lol.

  • @Admos2000 spot on..they just don't make music anymore! The 80's and the 90's was just genious for music.

  • @Admos2000 Amen.

  • @Admos2000 Amen fellow 90's legend. :)

  • @Admos2000 80's-90's where the best time to grow up... seriously Lady Gaga... common the music back in the 90's had a soul and the world danced to the music... now its like... meh everyones kinda depressed and gloomy

  • @Admos2000 hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • @Admos2000 Today's artists seem be about to run out of their invention while covering the same song for a 100th time, methinks . I grew up in the late 80's and then a real music has been created. It is incomparable with what is being done nowadays.

  • @Admos2000 Couldn't have put it better myself. What a quality comment. Goes to show not everyone on Youtube is a complete bell-end.

  • THE SHAMEN ARE TACKY BUT AWESOME

  • Lady Gaga is this + sex insinuation!

  • @NikiforosJoannis Please don't compare this to Lady Gaga... it's insulting. The Shamen dick on Lady Gaga.

  • @JOEISWELLGAY Joe, No comparison at all. I like The Shamen and I also like Gaga's work. What I am just saying is that she did not greatly innovate at all. If you compare the PHOTOGRAPHY of both this video and JUST DANCE you can see that they PHOTOGRAPHICALLY LOOK ALIKE. Also, she copied some videos and concepts from Madonna (Alejandro) and the 80's as she herself stated. I don't mean to depreciate one in favour of other because both have their value. Nikiforos

  • lady gaga wouldn't exist without bands like the shamen who redifined & inspired future generations of dance & related genres. More original + audacious/outrageous at a time when the industry was more starchy & controlled. She performs well but her image, music & style is so influenced by what madonna was doing a decade & more prior. Lyddon said the Pistols wouldn't have existed without The Beatles or Hawkwind. Gaga wouldn't be doing what she is now if "madge" hadn't been around to show the way

  • First Cassette I ever bought. TTTTTT-une LOL

  • Nice Old School music

  • @Cardiff7235 I'm 35 now and was brought up with the Shamen, they are pretty much my favourite band of my youth. But, I know people ten years older than me who were part of the original rave scene and they did consider this pop music.

Irrespective of whether they are rave or pop, surely the point is that whatever label you put on them they are still awesome.

  • @selaco12347 : I don't need a patronising lecture thanks but, you seem to think that you were the only one to know people 10 years older in the 'rave scene'! Now that's jugemental & Mr C was around ages before the Shamen who are obviously 'POP' just as Easygroove was considered old-skool........Anyway I'm off to listen to Ratpack....And check discogs for some classic rave tunes.

  • @Cardiff67235 Shamen, 'POP'?, listen to Jesus loves amerika

  • @DaTman4496 : I prefer Jesus Loves The Acid. I called this pop as a joke seeing as it was in the charts when I was a kid & rave wasn't.

  • @selaco12347 : Sorry btw. What's it matter/Prefer this version over album version ftr & you're 100% correct......I mean if I'd have said this was rave to my older brother & his remarc tapes he'd have laughed...PEACE

  • love the shamen old skool cant get any better

  • damn , i just love it . when i was very young i was a big fan of shamen . thanx a lot for posting this

  • I think the 90's were so good because people had the 2000's to look forward to, when it turned out to be crap they gave up. They should put this on the radio again to remind people.

  • Can we Get it On Itunes?

  • @garry171170 Its bands like this u should b giving ur respect to if ur a true raver. i bet u have never been to a rave u arse hole. go away and look out ur 2 unlimited tapes sad cunt

  • @ garry171170 = BIG man.....What haciendaboy1 said.

  • Heather has a fantastic voice...

  • Bring back The Shamen!

  • yessss 1993 was all about the shamen, 2 unlimited and capella! ... not forgetting culture beat and Maxx in 1994+

  • THE BEST 90 YEARS!!!!

  • Nice music. Those were the great times.

  • notice this sort of music and that geezers looks simlar to the prodigy :S awsome song when intoxicated

  • thia was jam at the altland ranch in york pa. thanks

  • Quite liked this band..good tunes and stuff....didn't have a clue what they were talkin' about in their lyrics though....;-)

  • looks like 90's music was more positive message than now, today music sucks

  • the lyrics are just deep..ahead of their time if you think about them

  • love the vids of the 80s and 90s , love this song..thanks

  • I miss the 90's.

  • God I used to hammer the Boss Drum Vidio, I remeber my old man saying he cant help but feel he should be on somthing in order to listen to it...If only he knew...ha ha...dem was the dayz

  • When dance music had talented people composers :-)

  • @Richardheslop - good work on this one fella. I suspect we may know (have known) the same people at one point in the dim distant past.

Anyway, a great tune which still captures the vibe of both The Shaman at that point, and much of the dance scene. They were panned in many sections of the dance community - as were most who ended up in the charts - but I think it was unfair of the Raver Snobs.

    Positivity in the Generation! ;o)

  • i will say it again...love it

  • mr.c ....what hits,great band.

  • released in 1992 not 1993

  • FLASHBACKS!

  • Awesome track. Very underrated

  • @matthewwaplington agree very much

  • I think this song is about people who never grow up

  • hahahahaha well this video has got 2 ex girlfriends in...and ones the mother of my children !!.....we shot this one in an abandoned swimming pool in london...which mr c said he used to swim in ...along time ago....i shot and directed it...we used some footage i shot in new york as well including some sunset shots from the top of the world trade centre...im still not sure what the songs about...but i love the energy...happy happy joy joy.... richard heslop 2010

  • @richardheslop - this is possibly my favourite Shamen video - I love the totally mad eclectic imagery. Did you do Boss Drum and Ebeneezer Goode as well?

  • @unclestoostoo i did do boss drum and ezzer goode.....i still think boss drums the best of them....its got many of my fav things in such as smashed interiors and dark burning energy....with light as well of course...glad you like ..chears..

  • Fcuk, I miss the 90's so much. The music was cutting edge and original. I find it hard to beleive that is now 2010 and this tune is bloddy 17 years old...!!!! How did that happen ??????

Shamen, Prodigy, Cappella, I could go on and on. Has anyone noticed how a lot of this stuff is now being sampled into so called dance music today. 1993 I was 21 and it was the best time of my life..............

  • Wow another child hood classic!

  • Oh lord... I loved this song so much when I was a kid

  • Vzpomínka na mládí. Byla to skvělá muzika a skvělý videoklip. Na ty 90 léta super !

  • Oh god, I miss the 90's. I miss them so, so much. Such a happy, go-lucky decade. Alright...that might've been because everyone was mashed on pills but it still had such a good vibe.

  • who thinks mr.c should re release this song, great me memories.

  • For the Malia boys of 92. RIP Maxi.

  • excellent

  • man i just love old skool, shame there will never be this era again.early 90s were sick!!

  • @britlit101 yeah well i havnt heard any mate!

  • @skopex18 Fair enough. Take it easy!!!

  • lol!! rag week me thinks!!

  • There was always something about C that reminded me of the cousin Kevin ( Paul Nicholas ) character from the Who film Tommy...G...

  • I used to love blasting this in the car on the motorway....it always makes me drive to fast though.

  • This song was released in 1992 and not 93 as by the guy who uploaded it.

  • niestety - po 20 latach pozostaje tylko new age'owa utopia. the shamen byli jej prawdziwymi propagatorami. piekne czasy ultraswiezej muzyki.
