Man, GM sure has put a lot of money into advertising their trucks. Every magazine I open has huge two-page ads and just about every channel on TV is trying to push those trucks. I can't even watch a clip of a sweet Ford Truck on youtube without a stupid chevy ad popping up. Anyone else feel the same?

I hate GM trucks with their IFS fronts axles, no optional manual trannies, and Japanese based diesel engines. American revolution my ass.

When I was young like 9 which is about 3 years before my dad passed he had a extended cab with the 460,it wasn't posi or dully so sometimes when you floored it from a stop it would sit still like you was power brakeing it,does anyone besides me think 460s have a week bottom end when stock,The one I had had a slight knock when started and so did my friends and I was told 460s are bad for that

I did a rolling burnout up a steep hill on my 502 ci boss Hoss Bike, and it was about 30 deg. F. out... the cold pavement didn't show much smoke.  Try running this truck this spring when the road is warmer... it's smoke like a Newfoundland chimney in the winter time!

Yeah the Dana 44 looks tiny. Never wanted to soend the coin for a 60 up front. No need for it as its a street truck, and the 40 holds up to nitrous launchs just fine!

Well your the talking out of your ass. Cedar Falls raceway, nitrous launches multiple times, on the street multiple times, a reverse rotation 44 is quite stout. Tes it is an open diff, but regardless the truck would only spin 1 revolution then dead hook and bounce people heads off the back window!

@mrh20082008 yep open diff completely stock, you have to remember that a reverse rotation 44 is quite a bit stronger than a standard rotation. And we're only talking 34" tires with a narrow contact patch plus 4 in the rear, it would hop and spin a couple feet but then hook, not like I was bouncing up a hill with high wheel speed.
