  • Why does the fire brigade use those covers on your air bottles? Also I can't tell from the paint but do you still use steel bottles?

  • @magaHarry17

Yes maybe, but that was acros the whole of the LFB. So each station only got a couple of real fires per year as I originally stated. Also, I watched the London riots on tv and all I saw was the fire brigade letting the buildings burn down. Take the Croydon furniture vstore for example, I watched that burning live for over an hour. Noone came to put it out. When they did, all that happened was they set up unmanned hoses at a distance and left them while having cup of tea

  • you might be good firefighters... but your not good actors!

  • Are you doing this in your own time or do you have so very little to do all day that you have spare time on your hands. Also, how many real fires do you get per month?

Not including bins alight, car fires and AFAs?

About 2 or 3 a year I expect. Be honest

  • @brendanbutterworth for example the LFB attend RTA's which save peoples lives, they attend flat fires which save peoples lives, they attend house fires which saves families lives! They attend chemicial incidents. ok this year alone they have handled - Charring cross chemicial incident, 10 pump fire in park royal, major fire in walthamstow, the 11 pump fire in Enfield and all the fires that happerned in the London riots. Also and 8 pump fire in euston, and hundreds of 4 and 6 pump fires!!!!!!!!!!

  • LFBChampionss...don't be silly. not many firefighters like our uniform. the work wear is scruffy, cheap looking, uncomfortable and downright embarrassing. The new fire gear looks great and once we get over the issue of confidence in it (due to the massive rise in firefighter burns since it came in) it should be fine. Except the helmets which are universally disliked as they make it impossible to hear anything and keep breaking (visors/protective glasses). sorry ..is that against the party line?

  • What would be the busiest fire stations in london ???.Is the money more working for the Lfb than any other part of britain?? What are the progression scales like??

  • seems like the London Fire Brigade is using American sirens (the best)

  • hello from missouri brother fire fighters, be safe and keep up the good work, when you get a chance check out our youtube

    WestPlainsFD

  • wheres the bit where you go to bed for an hour after lunch? i love that bit, also did you do a hotstrike after that job? :)

  • in italy every 30 sec. 115 have a call

  • The difference between us and the American Firemen was that we got on with our jobs and didn't talk about. I guess the new breed of Firefighters have to go on about what they do for a sense of worth! Its a job you signed up for please stop banging on about how great you are, its embarrasing for the rest of us!

  • my name is ben and i want o be a firefighter ,lol

  • It often seems to me that the fire brigade are the most efficient among the emergency services.

  • Looks interesting, have always been interested on how firefighters work and live across the great pond. Am looking forward to seeing more!

  • Hi, I'm a big fan of the LFB, i've got a couple of questions for you

Do you like your uniform, if you could would you change your British Firefighters uniform for the American Firefighter uniform? And what are the newest trucks in the Fire brigades command ( yeah, it sounds like a stupid question but i couldn't think of another way to say it)

  • Our fire kit has recently changed. We wouldnt swap it for the American uniform. Its comfortable, gives maximum mobility, uses up-to-date technology, performs to all safety requirements, there are different cuts for men and women so all firefighters get a good fit, all firefighters who tested it liked it, and finally, we think it looks really good!

The newest fire engines in the LFBs fleet are the Mercedes Atego.

  • to all the fire figthers world wide a big THANK YOU !!! for all you do for all of us.

  • How long time do it take from when you get the call until you turn out?

  • It depends...but generally under two minutes.

  • @LFBChampions Ok thanks ;)

Here where I live they only have 1 min.

  • this is really gay

nothing against your line of work but do not make videos

  • Great tips. Good job. How can I get a smoke alarm?

  • Smoke alarms cost around £5 and can be bought at most supermarkets, DIY stores and electrical equipment shops. For more information contact your local fire and rescue service.

  • To be honest. You should already have one.

  • A bit of a delayed reaction when the alarm went off eh. Nice little video though.

  • obviously it ws edited in, otherwise he would be up in a flash.

  • Short video ! Where's part 2 ?

  • Episode 2 will be released on 15th February.
