what i dont like about the lightsaber fight in the emperors chamber is 3 of the 4 jedi masters did not put up much of a fight.okay i understand it had to be like that to fit the movie but i still would have liked to have seen 4 jedi masters stick it to 1 sith lord
It's not through passion but to be at once, One within the Force. It is not using the Force but letting the Force be with you, use you through. And rage or any other passion is a distraction. Like when Obi finally got Anakin. He was taken away by passion. Obi got to be as good up there with Yoda and Palpatine knew it.
Palpatine is so powerful that he is able to mask his true identity from the Jedi. In the novel Shatterpoint, Mace Windu remarks to Yoda, "A shame [Palpatine] can't touch the Force. He might have been a fine Jedi."
The Star Wars Databank moreover explains that the Force "granted him inhuman dexterity and speed, agility enough to quickly kill three Jedi Masters" (as depicted in Revenge of the Sith). This may explain how he easily killed the first 3 jedi, and then how he tricked anikan in the end.
If u would have made this with cooler fonts it would have been bad ass now it's just okay.. What's the song called it's cool kind of reminds me of the outro to the soundtrack to the first matrix movie --> by propellerheads. It also sounds like Dj shadows - building steam with a grain of salt .. likes it!
the fight scene were thought on the spot during filming, Ian McDiarmid only had two days to practice. But I think it adds to his character cause he hadn't fought in awhile, of course his technique is a bit off.
WOW! I really love your video! I've seen few that can compare to this! I love how focused the theme of this video is unlike others' more convoluted vids. 5/5
Force Scream? No matter how good they are, if they didn't shrug off that stun, they're going to eat glowstick. Force lightning would have been even faster, but it wouldn't have been a kill blow, which was needed in that case. But yes, that scene should have been a little better. Oh well?
Not to mention that two of them fell to blows that came so slow that Sidious appeared to be standing still. His stance at 0:32 left him wide open for a variety of attacks and at least two would have hit if all four Jedi had attacked at once.
Well look at it this way. Sidious actually puts distance between himself the the jedi after impaling Dumbfuck (notice the lightsaber gets pulled through his left side). And honestly...I understand why Windu was kind of hanging back. You've got three other dude with you, all with fucking lightsabers, in close quarters. I'm amazed none of them accidentally cut each other's arms off.
I'm not. Why? Because it's Jedis we're talking about, not newbies. Some of the best fighters even, atleast according to WIndu in the book written after the manus.
Jedis don't fight like you'd normally fight in a battle on swords. They got the force backing them up, and strong Jedis like Windu and Obi-Wan just let their body get filled with the force and let it guide them trough the battle. There's no such chance of them hitting each other if they don't want to. Friendly Fire is for padawans
not for jedis. See the novel "Lightsabers" for example. The only reason Telen'Ka lost her arm to Jacen Solo was because they didn't use the force to fight with, but their own skills alone. When jedis fights side by side they can even become a union, pretty much fighting as one. @ Pekod1: What Force Scream? Their were no visual of them being attacked mentally, and if you at it the Zabrak get's impaled by a very slow attack while trying to get his guard up. Had it been a padawan, perhaps.
But a jedi master shouldn't fall that easily. Seccond, the force scream isn't a move we know if any of the current jedis/siths can pull off. It was used many years before this is taking place. And in the KotOR games, so it's even debateable if Lucas sees it as something that can be used in the movies.

the only reason why mace and palpatine werent that good is because lucas really wanted to get close to their faces and they couldnt do that with stunt double swordsmen, but if u think storywise and not on the effects of the movie, palpatine really did kill three skilled jedi masters in just a couple of seconds, its that they should have made palpatines offencive faster in the effects to be more convincing.
I know there was a card game that put the emporer at 86, but according to Stover's book for episode 3, there was an allusion that the emporer was ancient - a benefit of what he had gleaned in preserving life, from his master Plagieus (whose own history was sketchy). Palpatine looks in the mirror after his fight with Windu and subsequent transformation, and states, in effect, that this was his real appearance.
But when he took on the other 4 Jedi, he was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM for a good 2-3 seconds, as they all stood there like idiots. I thought they were supposed to be Jedi masters... what the heck?
Ok, has anybody else noticed how CRAPPY the lightsaber fight was between Palpatine and the other 4 Jedi (including Mace Windu). I mean,it really sucked. The fighting choreographies in the other 3 films of the first trilogy were all stellar - why was the emporer's so bad?
Because Episode 1 was a waste of time. Episode 2 they just started to scratch the surface of Lucas's story. When Ep. 3 came around Lucas needed to cram so much story into one film, including annhilating every jedi possible in a short time. I agree with another poster. Those Jedi Masters shouldnt be cut down that easily as if Sidious were swatting flies. That was retarded. I some what blame episode 1 if that makes any sence.
Yes, It makes sense. Episode one, even if for only 10 minutes, should have started with Palpatine and his master 1000 years earlier. It was an odd place to start a prequal. And I think, also, Lucas put too much confidence in his CGI to smooth things over; I read that McDiarmid had almost no training or practice (compared to McGregor). He just walked onto the set and was told to sword fight - and it showed.
what?... 1000 years earlier.. dud palpatine is like 87, the sith dude 100 years ago was darth bane, then zannah, then there is no history untill plaguis trained palpatine like 100 years prior to episode 1, HUGE NERD RIGHT HERE
